£225 per year isn't that bad, though the 1.5 is pretty slow. Do the newer base engines have a low range gearbox like the old 1.6 Impreza?

Yes they do, certainly in manual form. But the 1.5 is really gutless and won't cost any less to run than the N/A 2 litre.

This is LITERALLY less than half a mile from Outlaw_Towers, can assist* with collection/delivery...probably.
