i'm loving that little rover 25 van, and an l-series dizzler to boot!

when i ended up with the rover 75 estate i started out looking for a small van, like the 25.

then someone helpfully pointed out that if the only reason for wanting a van was to carry big things occasionally, why not get an estate instead?

hence i got the 75 state, though i do dig that van....

'Lez Compatible'

'Lez Compatible was a presenter on Peter Bleu, the French children's show. Famous for merde d'éléphant and errant sheepdogs, the show was a smash hit and Lez later moved to central London where she'd left anyone in for a fiver'

That is just brilliant, right colour, interior, proper bumpers and not clubfoot metal ones.

I presume these are a five speed?

I don't need another car but I'm living in Wantage right now.

the ad doesn't say one way or the other, but i would think so?

as this was right towards the end, the LX would have been pretty much the top model, i think the MG EFi would still be on sale, but the VP and MG turbo would have been discontinued...

I love this and would flippin gulp it right down with harissa paste on. Whats going on with the seats in it? They look a bit posh for summert like this.

Portugal is the new shite mecca as far as I'm concerned plus the food is awesome, unlike Spain where they have no shite and lousy food.

Best Espaces ever, should have kept our 1999 2.2 diesel , last of the pre DCis.At the time I was annoyed I couldn't afford a facelift one with the new improved* diesel, lucky escape.

After 4 years of reliable family transport I traded up* to a Mk4 Grande , I blame that Mk3 for lulling me into a false sense of security.

Interesting fact; a 4 year old can fit headfirst into the middle glovebox, my lot still take the piss out of our youngest ( now 18) trying to reach some sweets as her mum was parking.

Na the opposite. 4 wheel drive or somewhere there abouts.

It's actually an excellent gorilla marketing campaign by BMW who have for the last 15 years have made their cars un-drivable in adverse weather unless you fit winter tyres/snow chain. All those hundreds of news clips of BMW's getting stuck trying to get up a gentle slope with 1mm of snow on the ground or the sea of them stuck in super market car parks as a people in 15 year old Mondeo's trundle by has created a desire for BMW drivers to be able to drive their cars past November and not get stuck while everyone laughs at you. As a result when you buy your NEW BMW the salesman just needs to say "do you drive in the winter sir/madam", erm yes I do actually and BAMM you spend more money getting the x-drive upgrade. Operation tail spin completed.

I know 2 folk who've bought new 3 series in the last couple of months and both have got x-drive.

As much as I like mk1 Cavaliers these Ascona's always seemed almost infinitely more appealing. For some reason the Opel badge seemed exotic. Maybe it was because I liked Opel Fruits so much.

I'll never recognise Star Burst as a brand,

I was watching a review of the new NSX online the other day and the rear wheels on it are driven by the engine as per normal but the fronts are driven by electric motors so it can actually steer you without turning the wheels. It has the ability to both reduce and increase the power and torque going to individual wheels independently so can slow one wheel down and speed one up as you turn in. Also because it's got re-gen breaking the brake pedal isn't connected to a hydraulic system as such it's attached to a brake feel simulator. This gives you feed back based on what the computer thinks your foot want to feel and not what's actually happening in the braking system. You press the pedal and the computer figures out the right amount of re-gen breaking and normal braking to achieve the pressure you're applying. Basically the exact opposite of the old NSX.

this could well be a nice old bus, the other half had a camry in the previous shape that was a 3; 24v, and it was ace.

this clown though is, well, a clown given that the mot is up tommorrow and it needs a cv joint...

but its still a nice old bus, and if its cheap enough then it could be a barg...
