Im watching that C8 - it has the three seater rear bench.

Debating buying if less than £200 then just calling cartakeback as they will give £100 for the C8

I like your train of thought. I bet if you knew enough about various cars there's a decent business to be made doing that sort of thing.

Incidentally (not this car) there's been shit loads of really cheap looking fancy/classic cars on eBay seemingly really cheap recently. if you read the listings they all say 'send me your number...' and it's a con. I'm sure everyone on here would realise that but just in case.

Lobbed my bid in, but was outbid at the last moment - cets la vee as the French would say.

This looks like the sort of thing you'd see on the side of the road as some old bloke in a piss pot helmet adjusts the sproinget collet outlet valve with a fag paper every 50 yards

Imagine if they'd actually marketed these back in the day? There'd be none of that 'Outlaw Meglomaniac Genocide Bastard Warrior Warlord' nonsense, it'd probably be called the Austin 'Excuse me, would you mind awfully if I passed you by' or the '7CWT Fred & Doris Nice' or something and the 'accessory' catalogue would just be a pipe holder and 700x15 crossplies.

Five grand for that Renault Juva and he cant be arsed UK registering it??? If the buyer has to get involved with the DVLA anyway, they may as well get one off Leboncoin for £1500.

That metro has been for sale cheaply from a few different sellers over the last year or so, none of whom have got it onto UK plates which would make it 10 times more saleable. I think it must have some paperwork problems.

i remember seeing this on the allegro faceache page, the guy who restored it died after finishing it, and his widow was selling it, for about half what this dealer has it up for.

i know the guy has a living to make, but even so.

i would i think on balance rather have an austin instead of a vanden plas 1500, but do 1970's car come any more kitsch than one of these?

BL actually made a profit on everyone they sold...

Shame this hadn't cropped up in June...

Ring-a-ling-a-ling...but it's a pukka 4-point engine mount 1.3s, so perhaps it was for the best, then.

Calling Junkman. Ideal interview transportation.

What a combo. Jamaican flags and gay pride bodywork. Wonder if the guy knows what the colour scheme would indicate around Soho and Canal Street?

Cheap Imp.

I would love to see Peter Dinkledge rock up to The Ivy in an Imp.

Or Jimmy Carr to his next BBC interview.....

It was this Metro that first put the idea of getting a Metro into my head. I saw it on eBay back in summer and wasn't too phased by having to register it in the UK. I went for a look and was ready for buying it, but he wanted top money (£900 start on eBay IIRC, but he wanted more than that) and when I saw it it was looking a bit neglected. It wouldn't start, the coolant pipes were crusty and the grille/bumper were missing at that point.

Nothing too major, but £900+ for an unMOTed, unregistered non-runner of a Metro wasn't happening. So I walked and bought mine instead.

I do wonder if there are paperwork issues preventing it from being registered in the UK. Sounds like there are still issues getting the thing started too, but I doubt it's anything that would defeat a shiter.

I had to google him sorry. A sceptic Warwick Davis it appears so would fit a treat in an Imp.
