There's a garage on the way to King's Lynn that has a ton of them sitting on their forecourt. All with ice buckets welded to their bonnets.

Shhhh! Really trying to make this happen, it would be a great stablemate to the Heron. I've spent all day looking at Ashleys on the internet. Looks like somebody is just in time to save it from being 'restored'

Now, as an enthusiast of old Minis I have to ask the following

 

1. Why would I pay 17k (!!!!) for this...creation, something that has, sytematically, been made immeasurably worse in every respect than the car that was destroyed in order to create it.

 

2. What does "IT STARTED OFF AS A MINI MAYFAIR 89 IN BLACK 1971" mean??

 

3. Who is Mark Croft, FFS?

 

To finish off, "NEW STYLE REAR LIGHTS WITH LED". Of course. A plague on you.....tit!

Fucking brilliant IF it was an A level Design project, as a Prototype hinge system for the disabled, and it got them into a Masters in Automotive and Industrial Design, Almost brilliant IF it was done as a joke. SHITE if they actually did it because they thought it looked fantasmical
