Nice isn't it but the coward in me chickens out by the thoughts a 35 year old French car with a complicated semi Automatic gearbox.

 

Beside I'm waiting for someone to get back to me on a 33k Mk2 Granada 2.8 GL, I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Actually the plate is worthless without a MOT, I hate it when people do that.

 

 

There's always a way.  Not legal not ethical, but not hurting anyone.

 

You buy (YES BUY) an identical car but one that is MOTable.  You swap the identities, in the privacy of your own workshop. You MOT and tax the new car,  gaining paperwork for the old car. You run it around for a bit, (like 18 months), then transfer the reg, to a car of your choice. Then you swap the identitities back, re-MOT the good car, with it's original paperwork, and flog it on.  If you are unlucky, VOSA will ask you and said car to attend for an ID check, at which point you might shit your arse.

Of all the cars on the 2500 plus pages, this is the one that I wish I'd seen before it sold. Love the colour (I know it's fucking mental), love the wheels, love the colour of the wheels, and hey, it's the interchangeable nature of the Vauxhall range, that would have me finding a 1.8e 8V out of a cavalier mk2, and fitting that.
