eBay tat volume 3.

Tbf I probably wouldn't, not with that lush interior.  The genuine A38-code Gran Fury I had before had blue vinyl seats, much more befitting a patrol car.  I'm actually thinking red.

It's 23 miles to Cleethorpes, we've half a bottle of Vimto, a Ginsters sausage roll, it's drizzly and we're wearing slippers.

Oh shit.   I've typed all these posts without even logging into ebay.  Game over on that one then.  Better go and see what else there is.  The usual selection of overpriced scrap, no doubt.

And I've just offered the Sable at a lower price too.  Bow lurks.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how the actual fuck W813XLG is a private plate?  :?

It'll be one of those "unique" number plates that often get a special mention in eBay adverts.

It seems strange how much it's gone up to so quick. Be interesting to see what it ends at. Shame!

Call me ol' Mr Perceptive, but when the dubiously spaced "private plate" is easier to understand than the sellers spelling, I suspect you're not dealing with the sort of middle-class professional who will have cherished the car ;)

It has full service history though, by which I mean it has a print out of all the old mot's

I went to see a car once with full service history ... The history showed it had had nothing done for the last 2 years and was 30k past due a cambelt change. The seller couldn't understand why I wasn't impressed.

It might match a difficult-to-get central parking permit.  Lots of newish cars around Harrods with random W and X reg numbers. Easier to transfer the plate than apply for a new permit.

Those old ones look great without all the bull bar nonsense don't they? That doesn't sound bad at all if the description is to be believed. I'd love it.

and this too is subject to the OMGSCENETAX but isnt it ace

I nearly bought once exactly like that for £300 a few years back but the clutch was borked and it seemed like too much, especially in that colour.

This is why I will always be poor.

The very definition of British motoring, for me.
