So that's 'just' £1,400 for a heap of shit that needs painting, wiring, finishing off, random bits replaced and doesn't actually run?

'made the neighbours kid cry and thats true'

I'd cry if you lived next door to me.

Not cheap, but rather tasty. I'm not allegro fan but I definitely would

Bloomin heck, another one!

Confession time: I never knew these were hatchbacks. I want one now.

Same seller has a red one and an Acadiane van for sale in Spain, and a Maestro and a Volvo 240 listed here too.

This one's been for sale for EVER. Bloke is entirely unrealistic about its value. He claims to have turned down £500 for it, which is stupidity itself, because that's at most what it is worth. He sounds like a right nut job.

'new alternator / new steering rack (the traction control light is now on though so may just need the error code wiping), all new turbo gaskets / full service & also replaced the turbo oil feed pipe, drivers heated seat stopped working last month'

'It's NEVER let me down - good old VW that will run forever'

If only everything in life, etc.

Might have run forever before the current owner spazzed it up. Looking like that, it's got a year tops.

Traction Control light is indication that MAF is shot so it'll be running like a dog and using loads of diesel. But then, being such an enthusiast, he'd know that...

AX GT500. I think I might buy this. Not for €700 though... Needs that stupid bonnet scoop and 6x9's gone.

a 2.8 litre W123 without chrome arches - how quaint!

£650

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-280T ... 4d043ccb4e

The car is listed as a project as it has major engine knock but does run around yard ( i do have a spare 280 engine that is not included in this sale please call for further details)

Don't you just hate people who keep the vital part needed and intend to make you spunk more money on buying it from them.

I had a 280TE virtually identical to that, same colour, C reg. If it's solid, it's worth saving. They're good.

For £650 that's a bargain if it's not rusted to buggery. You'll always find an engine for one of those, I believe the 5.6 V8 can be made to fit.....

The Capri and Aggro 3dr are both MEGA. I'd have either. Or both.

I think he's been munching quite a few 'E' types, and probably quite a few other mind bending drugs too.

strangely I am liking the look of that Laguna!

3.0 V6 - what's not to like. ;-)

Interesting that Luke has asked him if he'll deliver to Belfast already - going by the sat nav pics!

Lovely car but - "She then sold the car to the guy we bought it from. He only kept it for a couple of months as it wasn’t his thing. We bought the car in April and the V5 is still in his name" - what's this bloke still doing trolling about using the last keepers identity? Isn't there something DVLA can do to stop this kind of nonsense?

Probably got a trader's policy and trying to keep the ownership number down. I'm pretty sure that seller has had cars on eBay before, possibly including a Mk1 Capri.
