^ those 1.3 Wartys are a capable machine unbelievably! IIRC they used the 1.1 box, same one as the 1.1 Trabbil though and were a little undergeared but that can be altered using various vag bits. The engine and box were not bought in but built under licence and so had IFA cast into various bits instead of VAG or whatever the decadent western engines had on them.

 

Fooked interior in that one though.

I can't explain. I have no idea why someone would do that to a poor unsuspecting 2CV. Hideous monstrosities. They leave the rear of the bodywork and doors in place and just glue that plastic box over it.

They do. I bought & shipped out, back to my mate in Normany, a very similar hideous contraption a couple of years ago.

A right mess, the bloody roof wouldn't even stay clipped on over 40, it wobbled that much. My Mrs had to drive it to Portsmouth( I was towing a 4cv, backwards). & was less than amused. Ghastly
