ASTON MARTIN LOOKALIKE

a lot of money has been spent on this car to make it an ASTON MARTIN LOOKALIKE

Delightfully low effort. Is it overpriced as well? (checks AutoTrader) Of course it's overpriced as well.

I was wondering what happened to Dale Winton. It turns out they skinned him and used him to trim this skoda.

Looks pretty good for 700 squidlets none the less.

It's amazing to think that 70 years ago my grandad would have been shooting at the sort of person driving one of them.

Everything was better in ye goode olde dayse.

It never fails to amaze me the number of people who either view/watch or ask questions about a vehicle thats increasingly rare BUT who dont want to pay anymore more than a scrap mondeo........:-)))

This is mine - haven't seen one in ages! £395. Elderly couple owned since 1999, comes with Mot AND TAX until March - the tax is worth £130. Runs well, everything works except aircon, lovely velour interior too....  It's also on ebay...

It's interesting, it doesn't look too bad on the proportions. Shame that it appears to have been quite a tidy car to start with which no doubt cuts down the work you have to do, but also seems a bit of a waste on something that isn't exactly commonplace now.

Still, it's better than seeing it get smashed to bits. I actually hope someone buys it and finishes it so it ends up looking like a convincing prototype foie gras hauler.

Hey Mr Wollydobbler I've won the lottery* and I'm buying you this:

4870036.jpgIt's a "Pony" apparently, and i'm sure someone can tell me how it's different to a Mehari, because I can't be arsed to look it up.4870038.jpg£6000.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C513291

I think there's one of these ponys right at the beginning of this thread

I reckon the Skoda seller has just overdone the colour enhancement settings on his camera, or over Doctored* them on photoshop.

No, they really did trim them with the finest ear wax coloured leather.

Yes Reg-Ballz, the very first entry. And as I prize, I'm buying you* THIS:

4957209.jpgA restored Hartwell Avenger. It is, quite literally TEH SECKS.

And £12k.

**EDIT** It's the same car, both with the same reg plate anyhow....

Never got why they called this a coupe? Still would though.

$_57.JPG

The word coupe as we know it is derived from the French term carosse coupe which means cut carriage. So the P5 with a cut down roof qualifies and of course now we've got the Merc CLS, VW CC, BMW GranCoupe etc.

What annoys me is E-bay twats describing any 2 door as a Coupe, that 309 XS a couple of posts back for instance and nearly every 2 door E30 and Cortina.
