The ford badge on that Granada does look to far over but shouldn't a ghia x have a rear spoiler or was that an option?

The seller may have deemed it rubbish when he changed the boot as he clearly did the same with the side moulding when he changed the wing.

That beta isn't far from me, i'm sure I've driven past it on my commute to work a few times. In fact, driving to work in it would improve my life x1000.

The boot spoiler was only standard on the Injection.

The chin spoiler was standard on all fuel injected ones, even the Ghia.

The badge spacing could be original, I had several with similar arrangements.

The application of the badges is anything but consistent, apparently they just slapped them on as they wanted.

I once bought a 2.3 GL that had front and rear spoilers fitted by a previous owner, what was even more tragic was that he'd picked out the 2 the . and half of the 8 in white paint, classy.

HOLY MACARONI!!!!! Mk1 Beta 1300!!!!! Don't recall ever seeing one of these before. Would love to try a 1300 version of the twink, I bet its mega revvy!

In the late 1970s our GP had a 1300 Coupe this colour -and gorgeous on steel wheels as a change from alloys.

I think it was Lancia's half hearted attempt at a Fulvia replacement.

If the 1300 is as gutsy as the two 1600 Beta saloons my Dad had you are in for a treat.

That Montego is a stellar find.

I REALLY want to have a bid on this colourful Espace. Would I sell the BX to own it?

That'd be a really stupid thing to do. I'm still considering it.

Ha ha - after reading your classic hub post I found that on ebay and spent a few minutes thinking about buying it.  Didn't get further than that.

As restoration projects go, fair play to the seller for even considering it, the green one looks absurdly rotten but it'd be nice to think at least one of them could be rescued.  CXs are such a rare sight now and one of those few cars that looks like nothing else.

Hi.

I'm Hubert.

I bought it and another one (was in the same listing)

Well they're more rotten than they seem but they yield very good engines. I've shipped them to Malta to help me restore my Prestige and hopefully save a C-Matic with a broken gearbox / engine but a good shell.

I'll keep you posted with developments.

Welcome Hubert

Looking forward to some pics of the Prestige, why don't you start a thread on it when you are ready.

Come on wobbler man, do the right thing. It's only a few miles of water to cross and you could be living the dream!
