That dash with all those blanks, must have been a great incentive to increase sales, every time you got behind the wheel. After years spent gradually moving up the Escort and Cortina trim ladder, it must have seemed very stark coming from a 2.0 Ghia Cortina, nobody else sees the comfort and refinement , just the bare steel wheels and lots of empty spaces on the dash, oh the shame!

Im hoping the seller of this eventually runs out of money listing it on eBay. That's the 4th time it's been on...

Good luck with that. There's a bloke who has been listing a New Old Stock AMC short engine for 7 years for more than I paid for both of my entire cars. It's (part of) the least desireable engine for a car that only sold a few hundred here at most, but for some reason, he'd rather keep listing it until he can no longer use a keyboard than sell at a realistic price to the one person in the UK (me) who might conceivably ever have a use for it.

I've got a 250 Gamma, they are brilliant and go like the clappers

I bet that goes for well over £1,500- haven't seen one on the road in years.

seen this one ( or one like it!)  at a few shows, I'm sure the jap version had A/C.

yes I'm fairly certain that all jap spec Rover mini's were fitted with a/c, making an already tight space to put an engine even tighter....
