Why has some lunatic bid it up to £800 already? I can't imagine a single component in that that won't be completely fucked. strangeangel, Magnificent Rustbucket and oldcars 3
spartacus Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Yeah, you would obs show pictures of it post accident, but not alert everybody to the fact it was driven by a blind tard into a river, leaving it on its nose for fuck knows how long...Made me laugh though.

Jim Bergerac Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Oh no, those stepspeeds are mega shite, I hope its not one of them!!!!! Fairly sure it's a different box from the CVT in the 1.8 Kettle, I think they called them both Stepspeed as they both also had a manual mode rather than being the same box. I think it's shared with the V6 Freelanders (the 75 didn't have a manual mode on the box?). Lacquer Peel 1
Mr_Bo11ox Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 After some frantic googling I am inclined to agree, I think its a Jatco box as opposed to the mega wank ZF CVT stepspeed box in the smaller-engined Rovers. Lacquer Peel 1
Alexg Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 This looks a bit of alright: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-ROVER-45-V6-CONNOISSEUR-24V-AUT-RED-IMMACULATE-and-RARE-/221995773746 It is fitted with the 6 speed steptronic CVT auto box (They were all automatics) which is the same gearbox as fitted to the MGF sports car Moving on.... There only 188 of these registered in the UK and they are disappearing fast I am told, perhaps because collectors are storing them as a modern investment . Championship level eBay sales cobblers right there NorfolkNWeigh, michael t, garethj and 6 others 9
HH-R Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Phwoar, that is ULTRAFIT. Top shiting Mr_B! Im 99% sure that these were NOT fitted with the CVT and had the same 75 box. I've heard without the shift points adjusted to take into account the lesser weight of the 45 so apparently are a bit shite to drive. Indeed if you look on the photos of Bollox's on Photobucket and zoom in, the selector says "AET" or "ACT", I can't work it out. cort16 1
Christine Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 That Viva HB is lovely , if only i had some cash.. Some twat will GT, Brabham ,or red top it .
NorfolkNWeigh Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Not sure what I think about this. You've got to admire the imagination and skill involved in fitting an Alfa transaxle in the back of an Escort and it looks to be nicely put together.Against that you have to weigh up the raping of a 75 and possible loss of another one to finish. As for the no Vin or logbook bollocks, that just makes me want to do a "Renault 20" on Turbosport- twatshttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPACE-FRAME-ESCORT-MK1-Alfa-Romeo-75-HYBRID-PROJECT/121862649539?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140328180637%26meid%3D7cd4a069ccc44de4b0b9f517c65c9f45%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D10%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D361468724927 mouseflakes 1
