This needs a lot of balls to take this on but what a car you would end up with.

This quote from Lanciaman amused me

Italy's answer to a Rolls Royce. The interior trim is of a very high quality, not the leather and wood you'd get from a UK luxury saloon of the period but lovely,West of England cloth coverings to the seats, painted metal finished dashboard and rubber mats on the floor.

I'd call that basic, just one step up from vinyl.

I think an auto xm with 250,000miles is probably not a choice that would enable you to sleep at night, or even let you set off on a journey with a 50/50 chance of getting to your destination.

Or, if you're a certain shiter, nab those rear lights for your Princess and sell on / weigh in the rest.  I reckon they'd fit nicely.

This looks Bonnie as every true Volvo enthusiast would say. Only problem is that it's in Rochdull so hopefully the winning bidder if it goes cheap won't need to track it down using google earth.

That is a bonnie motor but 2.0 N/A with auto is about the worst engine and gearbox combo they had.

Still... The interior is very blue...

Prices for these seem to be on the up, I remember my old man buying one for £25. Granted it was about 1983 but it just shows you.

Looks like it's had an anaphylactic reaction.

I had a 2.0 n/a auto 740 saloon, the spit of that one. It was dreadfully slow! Ate fuel too.

This Prisma is back on the market and is winking at me again. Glad I can't afford it.

Sadly someone seems to have twatted it slightly by lowering it and putting on a vinyl roof. *edit* has it been lowered, it looks odd at the back, is this just the way its sat on the kerb?

Here is a pic of it in happier times, I hope someone can save it.

Looks like the seller has low aspirations

"is more or less complete but will need an engine to finish.
I think a 2.0 liter pinto engine and transmission will be ideal for this car"

It's one of my ultimate dreams, but extremely rare with only 308 produced.

Even though, lots have been engine raped for AC-Bristols.

Those engines cost a fortune, unfortunately.

This kind of a fortune:
