looks like an interesting way to spend some cash!

Wow. Just wow. One of the craziest / most desperate series production aircraft ever made (with the possible exception of the scraping-the-barrel He 162 Salamander, one of which they're also selling).

Shame I haven't got room on the drive for it. Or somewhat more than half a million quid. Or a deathwish.

They really are absolutely batshit insane aren't they? Proved far more dangerous to its own pilots than the enemy it was supposed to shoot down. Luckily for us, the Luftwaffe seemed to have about 30 competing fanciful projects on the go instead of just focusing on one or two really good designs

That Allegro on Slot Mags (or whatever they are) looks ace. I'd definitely roll in that.

And also in this CX. Worth a look for the seller's excellent photography, making a change from the usual blurry phone cam efforts.

Kudos for getting good interior shots, a skill that alludes most.

[Edit #2: That's better.]

I knew I recognised that AX plate from somewhere

This looks a bit ropey on the front wings, but as it's got a manual gearbox I'd still be tempted. Sadly I've as much chance of punting the BX on by Tuesday as taking Cheryl Cole up the tradesman's

This looks intriguing. If the new definition is "a shedload of work for practically no gain". But if I had Monsieur Bickle's ability for rescuing and storing stuff I'd be all over it

That photo is of a finished car (so must be a rare picture), the one below is what you'd be buying

Lovely, but over my budget already. Those photos don't make it look great either, I can't image the Park Lane Bentley dealers presenting their cars with flat tyres, parked nose into a barn and covered in pigeon shit

Looks like a mutated Z31 300zx

This has potential. Wash would have been nice! Not sure what's lurking underneath the arches have been done in Hammerite. Pretty much the most undesirable e30 you can get. Base engine. 4 door and slush box. Somehow kind of like it tho. With that miles if the body was done it could be 4 figures (just!). And it's from the same Preston dealer as mine which is weird as we're both in Scotland!!!

That CX ad is superb, the photos are good enough for me to nick one as a desktop wallpaper for a while.

To be fair, there's room enough in a CX Prestige to set up a Hasselblad on a tripod! :P

never seen the point of the mini from a metro engine thing

under 1.6 k series would be completely the right thing to do

Thing is, my man in the know says that going Metro-to-Mini is not a straight swap, and can't see why people are raping Maestro/Marina etc as they're not all that easy to make Mini-Compatible at all... Kinda like getting a 3.2 Omega engine into a Nova, much easier to go Redtop than v6 due to the gearbox differences and so on.

No idea why people would rob a freshly MOT'd Metro VP (Something of a rarity!) of an engine to get a Mini going... Why not bazz the Metro up a bit, it's going to be a more usable car...

V6 hotty with "mk1" and a proper gearbox, chilling with his Mercedes buddies...

Funny thing is, there are 2 Metros/100s on eBay this week with 1.8 engines, including this Cabrio http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-ROVER-11 ... 1e798feb86

is it a homemade deathtrap or a proper job?

Remember the dealers having these in new - Austrailian conversion (holden?) If I remember right.

...has caused a mild eruption in the trouser frontal area. If I can find some storage I'm going to have a go at buying it, it's just absolutely ace and will give a sad old bastard like me hours of pleasure cleaning it up and what not.

I see that 305 got snatched up by someone remarkably quickly!

I still think their 'worth' is over-stated. Mine was £206 after three bidders wanted to pay about half that for it. They're still pretty worthless, yo.
