There are just no reasons not to like this.

'Agricultural registered so no Tax or Mot, You can ride this on the road with a car licence on red, white, or bio diesel and stay within the law.'

No mention of trying to wheelie it past the police station at 3.00am after 20 cans of Stella though.

You'd struggle to get 40mpg out of one of those on a commute.  Frugal they are not.

Still a lovely old thing though.

Really cannot fathom why people show the V5C number and the reg plate in the pictures. They can hide their address all they like, but someone bent could soon apply  for the log book in a spurious name and address and fuck things up.

Oh I wouldn't daily this. Wouldn't be able to anyway as my everyday insurers are very peculiar about stuff over 25 years old.

Brave or stupid to buy it?.

If I had the space (money I'd worry about afterwards), yes I'd be bidding.

The clutch in Beetles made my knee hurt when I was young and healthy but I could never find one of these "Automatics"1990660013_Screenshot2020-01-23at21_19_31.thumb.png.0d085804d48f766a5429038438a892c2.png

Not an auto at all but a 3 speed manual gearbox plus a torque converter with a suction operated clutch. That is the suction valve next to the coil. I think the oil filler on the right is for the torque converter fluid.

Would, for old times sake, if it was cheap enough to throw away when all of the wob falls out of the door pillar.

Don't be too disappointed if you pull that bog handle and don't plunge down into a huge turd filled black hole,  Colchester is only 35 miles away.

At least the ad is well written and straightforward enough (if a little long with the family history etc...)

Charming, if extremely crispy...
