These are were built by Isuzu weren't they?

I don't know actually. I think they are an Isuzu design (Isuzu Florian truck) but I think the Mk2 job might have been built in Luton so maybe these were too??

That ex library van is solid gold shite, one of the pictures even has toilet paper stuck on the back window circled, just to show how shit(e) it really is...

On the topic of Austin Maxi's, I've just found this one:

This is on Trade Me, effectively a New Zealand version of eBay where I would guess most private carsales are facilitated through.

It looks absolutely mint. If I could afford a second car to have as a non-daily driver, I absolutely would be ringing the seller right away. What a beauty. One of the few Maxi's I've seen for sale here (Maybe 5 come up for sale a year in New Zealand on a good year?) with the parcel tray still present.

Being a 1750 it should have rod gear change instead of the cables?

Hopefully it drives better than the last Maxi I drove!

mark 1 metro vp - so that means a 1275 with the MG's big valve head and camshaft.

plus the addition of mg pepperpots, what is not to like (other than the asking price)

WTF is going on with that exhaust?  I knew they did a pea shooter for the 998 and an angled wider example for the 1275 but that?  Never seen it before?  doubling round the spare wheel well?
