I do fancy a return to Saab convertible ownership and this caught my eye along with shit photos and shit ad but local to me. Car needs a transmission sensor and unfortunately, seller fails to mention MOT expired earlier this month so reckon I'm out.

Blimey, very pleased to see that Galant, one of my favourite '70s Japanese cars. Not to be confused with the more sporty-looking GTO/GSR.

There used to be a saloon knocking around Stowmarket/Elmswell back in the '90s, otherwise I've only seen coupe versions in scrapyards.

So I bought a manual 1.1 Fiesta engine, and took the 1.1 auto engine out, only to find the 1.1 auto engine is unique to the 1.1 auto Fiesta. The knackered engine had 5 bolts holding the flywheel to the crank, and a manual engine has 6 bolts. So I modified a manual flywheel on the lathe to take the auto "Clutch"....but the manual flywheel is around 3kg lighter than the auto flywheel, so even though it starts and runs, it wont tick over.

VERDICT: LEGEND. If he isn't on here, he bloody well should be.
