This looks (in Mini terms) something of a bargain.

My guess is it'll reappear in a months time with some dickhead wheels and stickers, or a hasty re-spray and a price tag 4 times of what it is now.

I was tempted by that but contacted a guy I know from mini circles who is local and has seen it, from all accounts it needs a hell of a lot of work but even still £1500 is not dear by any standard.
