'sympathetically converted to use as day van'

Which roughly translates to some B&M garden planters and a 1950's gas oven being nailed into the back.

Wouldn't be surprised if the moss gathered as it was being driven along

...in that thing. I'd rather fight Mike Tyson and twenty five crocodiles than drive that that distance.

90mph speedo? That's optimistic for an old Merc van. Even Leyland nationals accelerate quicker.

I guess reserve is more than Ive ever paid for anything but I like this.  Lots.

The 90mph speedo is used to measure your heartbeat when you need to pull out into traffic, or try to overtake a sloth without a good run up

Insurance compo money from my old XJ40 burning a hole in the wallet. I may have bid and won this after talking to the owner on the phone. I'm told there is no rust to speak of. Let's hope that's true. Should really have asked around here if someone has seen this, but hey ho. Off to Lancashire tomorrow. Interestingly it has no glove box.

Once upon a time I would have bid without hesitation.  Always wanted a 190 Fintail.  One for the bucket list.

I like Citroens - DS, ID, TA, 2CV and derivatives, GS, CX, BX XM, Xantia, Visa and so on - but I am fucking baffled at the appeal of these H vans.  I mean I get that they are slow like a lot of Citroens - but what the fuck else is there to recommend them and make them worth the billions they sell for?

Sadly the modern world is all about style and nothing about substance. Proof? Watch any new car advert on TV, lots about gadgets and what it looks like, nothing about the car itself, many do not even show the interior. All "lifestyle" and "image" and the Citroen H does style so well.

^ Blatantly a scam. I honestly don’t believe her surname is Directly. Sounds ridiculous.

Don't fancy your chances much of a bonkette on there, tbh.

I agree 145.4%.  Yes - interesting to look at but massively expensive.  I think the price to desirability ratio is all wrong for me.  One of those "if I could afford it I would buy a fleet of other things instead and keep the change" cars.

Delightfully faded Fiat.  At a scrapyard that I probably spent most of my youth buying bits for mk1 cavaliers.
