I find it extraordinary that it's possible to pick up an MOT'd and running one of these for a monkey.  Even with the comedy mileage this one has done.

1 bid at £500. Looking at the MOT history though it needs a bit spent:

  • Offside Rear Trailing arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)
  • fan belt noisy
  • front disc worn and have lip
  • exhaust rusted
  • Offside Rear worn on the edge
  • check tracking
  • Nearside Front rack end slight play
  • Offside Rear Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
  • Offside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)

The world's most knackered Prius.  Interstellar mileage and a borked waterpump plus HGF but the electric bit still works so I'm sure it's dead easy to just hotwire it somehow to run just on batteries all the time.  No downsides.

Some bloke has been trying to shift that AX for months now. He got it cheap on eBay (sub £300?) and has been trying to get £995, then 695, and now less for it ever since.

The stripes were also added by him. Great* sales technique.

Bless his entrepreneurial Sox...

Obvs one of Thatcher's childrens innit!

Just as a general comment, new laws are afoot in France regarding rust and the CT. They were supposed to be introduced this summer, but have been put back till the end of this year....up till now, structural rot was not a fail and generally just ignored here, but will now no longer pass the test and apprently obvious plating is not acceptable as a repair....welding will need to be invisible...ie full on restoration-spec letting in new metal rather than a "just one more test" patch cut from an old washing machine and lashed on.

Expect a flood of older cars for sale cheap(ish) as they become impossible to CT.

Marvellous, I'm up for any cheap mk1 or mk2 transits.
