Been a while since I saw a flatnose 9000 Turbo for sale.  This one's a bit rotten but cheap, and temptingly close to home.  Interesting spec, with cruise and climate but no leather.

I quite like that. Now I'm fairly certain that really is a 1964 Mini, that was slightly updated in 1980 with a new shell, engine, interior, possibly even updated to disc brakes etc, but everything* else is as it left the factory in 1964. What would happen if I bought and it turned out to be a ringer, I mean it's seems so unlikely, but you never know? Would I be in trouble, would I not be in trouble but the car would be fragged or would it need to go on Q plates.

Nothing will happen as the car can't be taken from you unless someone else can prove, without any doubt, that the car doesn't legally belong to you. 

I can tell you though, there is nothing whatsoever on that vehicle from 1964. Even the pedals are '76 onwards, most bits are from the 90s.  My guess is it's had the usual 'restoration' done by screwing the number plates onto a late, less valuable (at the time) car.
