Re: that Golf Rallye - I had one of these for over five years - sold it in late 2005 - good fun (once you got used to LHD!) but not really that quick - only got £4000 when I sold it to a guy from wales - saw it up for sale a year later £7500! Here's mine...

Early Metro with a quality* towbar installation.

Very early - check the rear window washer location.

In fairness though that looks like a proper fit towbar, the number plate did get relocated to the bumper to avoid being obscured by the towball

Bloody hell, that £50 Leganza is a bargain. One owner too. Let's see...

Here's a drivers door for £15!

I bet you could have that Leganza bought and fixed up for £90

Yes, nice.

Was the 1800 at all rare. If memory serves this was when company car tax was banded and the 1.8 was the staple engine to keep you inside a band. I know I changed from a 2.0 GL to a 1.8 Ghia jellymould around that time.

Mind you, I suppose they are all pretty rare now.

If its an original fitment, quite probably.

There was no provision for removing the towball so the dealers had to move the number plate and retro fit after market number plate lights.

Some dealers turned the bumper upside down (swapping the end caps over) and fitted the number plate to the tailgate which looked a little neater. But still gash.

It is not a 2.8, as there is not a 2.8 engine in there (or any engine).

Also, it apparently doesn't even come with the wheels in the photos.

A+++ seller right there.

Wow thats some Turbo Conversion right there

So much power the engine fucked off down the road in front of the car!
