This crossed my mind...

I have a pre-EU German plate on my wall that I found for 50p at a car boot sale, complete with out of date registration sticker and Kreis-Paderborn seal. ;)

Even better see if it comes with its Cali plates, if so drive it on those.

I remember seeing a Japanese(!!!) registered HiAce in Switzerland once, I bet that got a question or two.

I'm seriously tempted by this Council Estate as a winter wafter. Trouble is the seller says it probably needs the carb rebuilding or replacing, so not sure I can be arsed with that.

You missed the best photo...

PS - there's always this Volvoon, which doesn't mention any carb issues....

I'm old enough to remember the days when the roads were full of shagged out looking cars like this.

This is a regular round these parts- I can hear it coming a mile off. Sad to see it's maybe moving to another part of the country.

What I'd give to have that road legal, fill the back full of bricks and drive up the Horsehoe Pass.

Well, I'm totally convinced this mint looking £4,000 Mk1 Capri isn't at all a bent listing from someone trying to rip you off

Ringing?

Use for parts?

Put bogus foreign plates on it and hope no-one notices?

As an Englishman I feel that as a nation we are very ready to accept dodgy goods - I have seen so many things for sale that are either dubious or very obviously stolen - and plenty of people willing to queue up to buy stuff if it's cheap and not ask any questions.  I am also profoundly depressed when I see how the fact you can't leave anything lying around for 5 minutes without some git stealing it makes our country appear so different - I've been to France, Ireland and the USA in the last couple of years and seen stuff lying around that would be gone if was here - and the owner would be told they were stupid for leaving it there.

There are a heck of a lot of dishonest people here.

The only way to sell LEGITIMATE goods in Merseyside is to pretend that they are "knockoff" - fake or off the back of a lorry.

I worked with a number of thieves in Runcorn, (which is actually Cheshire, but full of 2nd, 3rd and 4th Generation Expat Scousers, shipped out of the slums into a nice new town, which they pretty much turned into a no go area - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southgate_Estate
