Yep, this one is actually pretty tense. Not for the car, I'm sure it's everything Rob says it is and more, but I'm doing this in between shifts at work, and I'm due back at work at 1130 tomorrow.

At the moment, I'm digging out at work:

I'm expecting to arrive with Rob at around 8:20pm tonight then I'll turn around and head back on the 300 mile journey.

At least the weather is good.

Oh. Oh dear.

Just got home from work, bag is packed, and we're about to head off to the next part of the journey.

I'm sure it'll be fiiiiiiiine.

I remember reading about how great the heaters were..

Were, apparently not so in this example, so plenty of warm clothing packed!

Now awaiting my next conveyance! Main highlight is seeing an i10 with twin fart cannons. Oh dear.

I've told him to wear layers.  I'm sorry to say the heater is indeed rubbish!

300 miles home from south London?  That'll be Penzance then.  Crikey.  I drove it 3 miles to Screwfix on Tuesday evening, so I'm sure it'll be fine....

Good luck with that! Will you have any time for sleep before your next shift?

If I'm lucky, a few hours of shut eye will occur. Not overly ambitious of that though!

Rob - close, just outside Camborne!

I'm on a Megabus.

For the love of god man! WHY?!  2 exhausts on an i10?!

Top tip for driving a car with hardly any heater in sub zero temperatures... wear a sleeping bag.

I've brought a set of thermals, and this fetching little number with matching trousers. Basically a sleeping bag you can walk in!

Plymouth. My childhood home town. The driver needed to take a break for his hours so I had a quick wander.

Bear in mind, this is the sight you are greeted with when you get off the coach.

This made me giggle though.

Back on the road in 15 minutes, so I had time to pick up a new set of headphones (my earphones had broken prior to the journey so only the left one worked) and an Ivory Dewdney pasty

I promise* to not see if it'll do wheelspinnies in 5th in the outside lane of the M4.

I do apologise, this collection thread is really bloody boring isn't it?

Annoyingly, I've still got two hours to go before I get to the train station and my legs have cramped into a sitting position.

Ah, the lower half of Plymouth city centre... it's lovely isn't it! By the time you are on the way back hopefully the chaos will have subsided.

I have arrived at a train station, just to see my train depart.

That's the easy bit done, chodspeed old fruit. Another thoroughly pleasant shiter, wud roffle then sell to by proxy again!

All I will say is, Glenn, you're fucking mental.

You haven't changed since I last saw you (years ago!).

(That was somebody else's smart car that we applied the sticker to)

He's got newish Arrowspeed summer tyres on the front, and slightly aged Michelins on the rear. I'm sure he'll be fine...

But seriously, yes do take care. He's been offered overnight accommodation in Yeovil so has a plan B.

I'm not sure I follow the aim of the sticker.

Crikey. Is anyone between that there London and Cornwall that can offer sanctuary if Glenn gets stranded?

Ish if he fancies a massive detour up the a34 then m40...

Its a laguna, its fine, mine was ace* in the snow!

*any car is ace in the snow if you don't really give a crap about what you use to gain traction... Verges, hedges, crash barriers etc

Came off the platform and made a beeline to this tantalising machine.

Rob was a proper gent and I'll forever be grateful for his hospitality.

Had a quick snoop at his lovely retro Renault as we spotted a few flakes falling.

PEZ SHOT.

Stopped for Scran and to catch up on the latest traffic news. Not great news actually, both the A30 and A38 are closed so I'm going to do some head scratching and think of a plan.

Car is running lovely though. Small victories!a92994ec7b5b40e9bfd3297e8ebe8fe6.jpg
