Too many cars.not enough time. I want all my classics undercover. The later stuff can resist the elements better. Currently the Renault is outside and I want it undercover then I can relax a bit.

Only one of these cars is for sale really, I just need one gone. Please take the Woleseley, that's my least favourite!

Triumph Acclaim. Solid, tidy. 50,000 miles. Needs nothing much. Wiper linkage sloppy. Not been driven for 4 years, it doesn't want to idle now. No NoT but I see no reason why it wouldn't go through one. I've had it maybe 6 years or so. Was used daily for two years then stored undercover since.

Wolseley 1500. All hard work done. Needs no welding. Mechanically good other than brakes. Needs

plenty of finishing off (bits of trim, lights etc). post-19511-0-83263600-1546692208_thumb.jpg

Renault 16.again, all hard work done. Well mostly. The paintwork is rough but it shouldn't need any major welding. I've noticed two small bits but They are easy and cosmetic. Good mechanically. Needs radiator recore. New brakes throughout. 87,000 miles. Comes with loads of spares. Reluctant sale this so really hoping one of the other two go! I m not braving the general public, I just can't be bothered with that. post-19511-0-42060400-1546692618_thumb.jpg

All cars are in Cleobury Mortimer, South Shropshire.

Fuck my boots, if I was a beret wearing, garlic crunching socialist I'd give that Renner one up the tailgate.

Aye, that is a pukka fleet for 4.5K.    Better than a 2012 Mondeo.

I think i fancy the Acclaim most out of that lot!!! I just checked eBay and found not a single one for sale or in the 'completed listings' so they must be getting pretty rare now.

That 16 appears to be parked behind another 16. Is that still the case, or was that pic from when you got it? I could do with a few bits for mine, but I couldn't eat a whole one.

That photo was taken when it was having the brakes rebuilt by the Renault 16 specialist. He No longer works on customers cars but he has pretty much every part you will ever need. Pm me if you want his number. He is in Lincs.

When they do come up for sale they are usually in a horrible colour. This one is Ember Glow and really suits it.

I beg your fucking pardon?

Obviously the Wol is the one for me, but I have no space and enough on my plate with car work. Sadly this does not help in the slightest.

Bump

Swap or swap + cash could be considered

Just seen an Acclaim on a driveway of a local banger racer, stripped out. If these are starting to be worth proper money why on earth is he bangering it? Can’t imagine an Acclaim would hold up well to a shunt, surely something like an old crappy Focus would be better.

Values are all over the place, you might get a grand or two for a minter online but Ethel putting her late husband's tatty example in the local paper is going to net about £450. Also, no, I'd not like to crash an Acclaim, they are properly flimsy...

Do you have the grille, lights and trim for the Wolseley, or will the new owner (if there is one) need to find them elsewhere?

I have everything to complete it other than the parts for the brakes. They did work when I bought it but at least one wheel cylinder is leaking and it has lost all its fluid.

I raced one years ago in the non contact under 1300 formula but it was 1342cc so they only let me do a couple of races. I then finished it off in the full contact series. It wasnt tough but it was the quickest car there and I won the finals, mostly through agility! It managed to live again for the next meeting but the rear suspension mounts were rotten and it developed rear wheel steering and I rolled it, then it caught fire.

Wouldn’t fancy my chances up against a 1.4 Astra saloon or a Focus 1.4 though. It’d fold up like an accordion.

At that time the oldest mk1 Focus would have been a year old so there weren't too many of them on the track

I have had a 1500. Car purchased to replace a written off MGB.

Whilst not the greatest around corners. In a straight line and up hills it would beat a lot of what were then small cars like the smaller engined  Fysta & Metro etc.

Sat at 70 for hours. Brakes need just that something a bit more. I believe that there are ways to convert to front discs.

Find and front anti roll bar too.

The Acclaim, was a car I personally never liked much. It was a bit too narrow. The Rover 213 was a much better car.

I am sorry to have to say never been in a 16.

Good luck with the sale
