Somehow I got not one but two different T-shirts featuring the 1967 Ford Mustang.  OK, an American car I've never owned (yet) but very nice.

I got not motoring related pressies but my dad bunged me £20 and I put it towards a tyre inflation compressor thingy.

 

Using those petrol station air pumps stresses me out for one reason or another.

SWMBO bought me (amongst other things) one of those boot organiser things (and bought a second one for her own car).

 

Somehow, when she was browsing them on Amazon, a different type of boot organiser accidentally ended up on her wishlist.

 

So I duly bought it for her.

 

So now we have three boot organisers between us...

I got one of these from my uncle.

 

 

It's rechargeable, f***ing bright and will be perfect for the nocturnal fettling which inevitably occurs at this time of the year.

 

This was my only vaguely shite-related gift - my parents gave me an IKEA Poäng chair, which is chuffing brilliant, and everything else was the usual clothes, toiletries, chocs etc.

This year I got new headlight wipers for the 940, a Bergen oil filter removal tool, an oil drain pan, an Aldi screwdriver set and an FM tuner that should hopefully allow me to keep the original head unit whilst being able to listen to MP3 files.

 

Not a bad haul, but I'm infinitely more enamoured with the cache of single malt whiskey I've received, no matter what the cars throw at me it's a comfort to have that to fall back on
