Providing no sudden family plans formulate (there have been rumours (which is incidentally the name of the album I’m listening to currently)) then I intend to attend!

OK, so Google Maps tells me Bridgnorth is 1 hr 17 mins from Cheltenham so I reckon I’m in.

I can't come, mainly as I have to go to Kingswinford the day before and can't afford a Travelodge.

One year I'm going to think about this beforehand and make sure I'm back from my visit up north in good time.

Which will probably be the year it snows like fuck and we don't do it.

I will make it if I can, Mrs Sloth and the Slothlet are both down with colds currently so it is a bit iffy.

Well, I think I'm managing to kick this cold's arse, thanks largely to Haribo I think. See you in the morning.

I’ll have a look at heritage railway running days later and pick one. Most likely the SVR at Bridgnorth as we can mooch into the town as well. They have a cliff railway there, you know.

I’ve just got home at 4.40am....

Thinking I might not make it....

Heading over with the Slothlet. Plan to get the 10:20 train at Bridgenorth.

Got tempted by an evil seductress who suggested tea in bed, so will be arriving at Bridgnorth at around 11am by 2CV.

Journey over was 20 mins quicker than I was expecting. The overflow carpark, has been properly surfaced instead of being a field with tracks.

Posted

I'll hopefully be over by 11am. Still debating whether to Frontera it or train it over. Train is a strong temptation...

Posted

Bah! Missed the train by 10 mins. Next one is at 11.34am. So looks like it's the Frontera then!

Will be on the diesel into Bridgenorth at 12:28.

Great to meet all of you. Glad we could catch up.but shame it was a bit short. Maybe next time, or maybe we could organise a Bridgnorth meet during the spring or summer?

Incidently I went into Bridgnorth town for a bit of a nostalgic walk around like I used to do about 10 years ago. I came across an antiques shop and bought myself these for a couple of quid:post-3572-0-32083100-1546357343_thumb.jpg

The keyring spells out ADH 703G which doesn't seem to register upon the government site.

Spotted these in a lovely affluent street where I parked:
