3VOM Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Okay, would all interested GGG + NPH members please let me know, so organisation of cars and and digs can commence? The plan: 15/08 - Depart bright and early to catch the 14:00 ferry. After crossing, hoon to Caen, occupy pre arranged digs, drink.16/08 - Buy parts for cars you don't own, warped French plastic, etc. When done, take off northward, occupy pre arranged digs, drink.17/08 - Depart bright and early to do some shopping, try to catch the 14:00 ferry. After crossing, hoon oop narf, drink. Questions? Joining the party are: 1. JunkmanWouldn't it be better to go in September or is one of Junkman's cars going to do 88mph? Should be able to get somewhere like an F1 in Caen. Also which ferry route, I tend to use Newhaven Dieppe but Caen is possible I think as well as the usual Calais links.
Junkman Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Now corrected. I will take the Dover - Calais route, because I prefer driving to sitting on a ship.
Junkman Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I'm not much of a joiner..but if I'm there I will say hello... I should have been more precise. It's a call only for GGG + NPH members interested in sharing a ride.
Frogchod Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 Where's the digs in Caen ? I might come up and join in the "drinks" bit
alcyonecorporation Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Can you fit a 305 interior into an R16? Fancy a bit of this.
Junkman Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Where's the digs in Caen ? I might come up and join in the "drinks" bit I haven't arranged anything yet, since people for some odd reason don't come forward with the requested info.Sometimes I really wonder why I even care. Can you fit a 305 interior into an R16? Fancy a bit of this. If people decide not to join in, yes.
barrett Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 If anyone spots a stainless steel trim strip from the boot of an Ami 6 Break at a reasonable price, like the ones pictured, I'd love for you to bring it back if it'll fit somewhere. Similarly, stainless hubcaps (not chromed) like the one pictured are usually €5 a pop at French auto jumbles, but people ask silly money for them here - I'd love four of those if anyone notices some. I have cash waiting! Otherwise, I'll just wait till the next Reims Autojumble...
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 What information do you need Mein Herr?
Junkman Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Well first of all who is joining in would be not too bad a thing to know, would it now? Then I will need the names and age of the participants.
bramz7 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I can't go, but if someone finds a non dented 605 NS rear door I'll pay them for it...

I feel it would be somewhat cheeky to list out all my favoured models but any reasonably priced Simcas, ADO16 variants or an early Renault 4L would be appreciated please.
meshking Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Would someone be kind enough to keep an eye out for a cheap one of these for me?. It's the centre from a 2cv quillery steering wheel. Sent from my SGP621 using Tapatalk
Junkman Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Where in Caen ? Who knows? About two weeks ago I had no idea that Caen even exists.I actually fear the worst regarding drinks availability, tbhI bet it's closed Saturday evenings, like Lille. 3. Egg - Norev en plastique. Junkman Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 It has been registered with sadness, that Conrad won't be able to make the trip. Before I cancel the arrangements made for him, is there anyone who wants to take his place? Due to cancellations fees incurring thereafter, I will need to know until tomorrow evening, please.
