Seeing the saloon 305 makes me wish my estate ran for more than 2 minutes without fouling its plugs.

Just done a quick Google search and I've got it slightly wrong, it's being converted to a single residential dwelling apparently.

I still find it surprising as they spent a fortune in 2009 transforming it from a grotty looking pub to a fancy upmarket hotel.

The Ipswich planning folks are a strange bunch. The other year we attended the "farewell" party for the Beer House, which was supposed to be closing down and bulldozed. Still hasn't gone, as far as I know, and there was talk of it re-opening.

My father in law told me about a man in Colchester who collects old Fiats and after a look on google streetview i found this great 900e van in the street so i decided to take a look, sadly it had all gone about from this 126, My guess is that they are all in the lock ups now.

This is good . It's a shame that you weren't able to confirm it's current whereabouts. It would be nice to think it is tucked up in one of the lock-ups as you suggest Trig.

Looks like a combination of old Swiss reg plates and the diagonal red stripe that vans in Italy have on them.

I've photographed this a few times, It's been parked in the driveway of a house around the corner since 2009, It still looks remarkabley tidy apart from a scab on the front wing, I well want to ask the owner what the story is about it, It needs saving what ever happens.

My wife travelled to our wedding venue in one of those Beauford things last year. Isnt it a Sherpa Chassis or something?

It was November and she said it was a horrible draughty thing with no heater and went at about 20 mph everywhere. It was free though so we were bloody well having it as transport.

I paid extra took the limo instead.

Its a bit scene, but I like Golfs with the Vento/Jetta fronts on them.

Right a few from today that I've spotted out and about.

This is my find of the day, It was at a boot sale this morning, the current owner has owned it 40 years now after buying of the daughter of the local Rootes garage when it was 3 years old.

He's a mechanic and kept it going but filling the sills with old engine oil and has rebuilt the engine once fitting a holbay head and stage 1 cam, It has over drive on 3rd and 4th gears and has covered 184000 miles, he still uses it everyday to drive to work in Colchester.

He's thinking of selling it though as he's moved house and it now lives outside, He's looking at about Ã‚Â£700 but it needs restoring, the bodywork it very scabby although it's solid and it's just passed it's mot without needing any work. Oh and it's got a grommet on the roof where he had a CB aerial in the 70's.

Later on i was passing a Holiday Inn in town and saw this in the car park so i pulled in for a photo, I've spoke to the owner a few years about, It's a local post office van, It's in stunning condition.

I'm sure when i bought that old Ital some years back I collected it from 109LandyS3's office carpark at Brooklands, it look familiar.
