Excellent choice of station for 24 hours before the entire fucking playlist repeats. They literally have a CD changer filled with "Now that's what I call music" volumes 20-70 on shuffle.

 

But good work getting it sorted. I never did on my Focus, so it remained odd spec with full touchscreen nav but no A2DP or DAB. I've also just remembered that me and Hendry always debated about how shit that system was! Bless him.

Saw a black handle Mk4 Hilti Estate yesterday, didn’t grab a picture though. Quite tempted by one of these now they are round the £1,000 mark to replace the Mk2.

Still have my mk4, still trundles along nicely. 

Had a recent visit to the North Norfolk coast to visit an elderly relative .

Quite a haul from my home in the south west of Ireland. 

Had a recent concern, as the oil service light came on after only 2,500km.

Not sure why,but an oil change and reset of the light,and all seems ok.

It passed it's annual inspection first time with no advisories.

Two new tyres were fitted,went for not quite Chinese death rings in the form of a pair of Maxxis brand tyres.Quite pleased with them so far so may get another pair when the time comes.

Here she is parked in Sheringham overlooking the sea. 

 

Spotted this black boot handle mk5 in Hunstanton.

Think there is a guy on you tube that works for this company as a mechanic?

I had Maxxis tyres on my Sharan. It had two on when I bought it and as they seemed ok I replaced the other two with the same. Couldn't fault them.

I've got Maxxis tyres on my mountain bike. They are fine when upright but when you lean over by more than 40 degrees, theres a huge loss in grip, so don't be going onto two wheels with Jill St John through Las Vegas, in case these are the same.

On the diesels apparently they're great right until they let go with no warning. Not a cheap fix either.

Black Boothandle estate whizzed past me on the M40 last week, quite a recent reg. I wonder why they keep doing the black handle thing?

First one I've seen since the Hilti office just around the corner from work closed down.

I find it strange that the Hilti Transit Connect vans have body coloured doorhandles.

Hummmmm,My oil service light came back on again after 5,000km.

A bit of research on line showed up some others with the same symptoms,EGR valve may be the cause.

I've blanked it for now,will see if it makes any difference.

Car does feel a bit more lively now though.

Depressing the brake and clutch pedal simultaneously while turning the ignition key resets the service indicator.

When I say depress I mean holding them both down, not telling them about your relationship history.

Fuel consumption had dropped a little bit, and it was regenerating more frequently, will see if the egr blank makes a difference.

Ok so question for the collective if I may. 2009 mundano 1.8 tdci, engine malfunction comes up on the dash and rough running/no power and injector no 2 shows up on diagnostics. Bit of googling shows that 2009 era cars had a known issue with failing injectors. Anyone got any wisdom on this whole nonsense? Will a replacement injector need coding to the car or just plug and play? Will a replacement injector even cure it? All advice greatly appreciated.

Coding, then another one will go, then another... I’d say go find a place that services the injectors you have and have it sorted. Usually they can be sorted for much less than a new one.
