Since fox hunting is now illegal, we should have Pikey hunting instead. With dags.

^^No, look at the ass of a Crown Vic, then look at your XJ. Shockingly similar.

there is one way to tell them apart. Show them both this road:

Guess which one the guy in the picture will be scraped off...

Had an oddly therapeutic afternoon before work shredding old documents, alternating with long periods of sitting outside reading back issues of Hot Rod in the near perfect autumn weather. Annoyingly, I lost my Fall CD whilst waiting for the shredder to cool down for the fifth time.

Several good things came out of this day:

1. I can now close my clip file - having six years of old payslips, job offer confirmations and bank statements was stretching the poor thing to bursting point. I filled five bin bags with the remains, and still have a thick wodge of crap to run through. That will be a job for the morning, and a twelve hour rest is more than enough for the shredder of doom.

2. I realised how far I've come debt wise in three years. Feeding old credit card statements into the machine displaying five figure bills felt very good indeed. Next month I'll be in the mid hundreds, and by Christmas I'll have [hopefully] killed the millstone that has been round my neck for so long. I might hurry this process by selling some more stuff.

3. I never actually had a contract of employment at my last place. Well, they sent me one with the job offer, but I never signed it. :D After all that happened there, finding this blank document was quite amusing. Into the shredder it went. GNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNRRRGGGHDHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (burning motor smell).

4. It's a year to the day from when I walked out of Vertex for the last time. :D:D

5. Citroen is driving well for the first time in ages, in that I can run it flat out without the wheel wobbling. The fact that the rears were 75 grams out on each side ( Drury Lane, no less) might have contributed to the iffy handling and discombobulation. Well worth a tenner and 20 B&H Gold. It's actually pleasant to drive. I haven't said that about the C4 since, erm, well, eghgggghhhh - have I ever said that? :?:

^^That's exactly the kind of talk that puts a smile on the face of every state trooper who drives a CV Code P71.

Let me guess - cop motor, cop tyres, cop suspension, cop shocks?

As a New York copper once said to me : 'That shit be real. Now fuck off taking goddamn photos.'

I don't bother with the shredder for large amounts of stuff

One of these bad boys, fill it half way with paper, 2 pints of diesel. Job jobbed.

Messing around with my "new" lappy last night, I found an add-on for xscreensaver called "BSOD"

It emulates various serious sytem crashes from the all time classic DOS "abort, retry, fail" to completely realistic looking video crashes, ATM out of service announcements, it even has the amiga "guru meditation" crash screen. It's great fun.

This one paricularly made me chuckle

Heh, just looked that up and it turns out Microsoft actually did one. So I've just installed it.

Have a job interview in the morning to run a paintball centre. Told to come in scruffy clothes and boots, so kinda imagining a 'Battle Royale' style fight to the death with the other candidates! Even if I don't get the job it will be a laugh!

Good luck and when can we expect a battle against Retro-Rides? :D

Or they line you up against a wall and fire paint balls at you until there is only one left standing.......

Anyhow Billy is this any relation?

If she was the queen I'd abdicate.

Interview went well, was supposed to be seven candidates there, only myself and one other turned up. Hopefully second interview next week and see what happens.

Got a couple of games in, and the area Manager upgraded all our kit (M16 for Winnarz) and gave us 300+ rounds and some smoke grenades. The other candidate got obliterated in the first game

Looks a hilarious place to work.. So fingers crossed!

Thought I heard someone shouting 'any old free range' from the driver's seat of a high sided Transit pick-up and might* have just 'accidentally' egged them. I hope it wasn't the same thieving bastard who nicked my old car bonnet the other week.

Look at this great old TV set I picked up this morning (bonus CA being driven with the door open):

It's got the innards from a (relatively) more modern set, so I was thinking about gutting it and using the case for something but it works so well... It's hooked up to a DVD player and I'm watching Seinfeld just how my grandparents used to in the 50s.

i've just got home after a weeks holiday in Cornwall, I've completed 1100 miles in a week without any problems (not that you'd expect any in a 6 year old Mondeo).

Today i left Newquay at 10am, drove to Colvelly in North Devon, had a look around for a few hours, left there at 2pm, drove to the Haynes motor museum in Sparkford, Somerset, spend 1 1/2 hours there leaving at 5.30pm before driving the 200 miles home, popped to my dads in Colchester in Essex for hour before getting back to Ipswich here in Suffolk at 11pm.

Now THAT is what you call a epic road trip!.

Also Cornwall is crammed full of shite cars!

This evening I've spent an enjoyable few hours in the Wirral Unit (area 5.1). Everything seems to be progressing nicely and I'm looking forward to using it as a Wob N' Wash zone soon.

Drinking in a right old shit hole of a pub that used to be my local and there was a stripper on.

TriggAh, did you manage to snap the 105e on a driveway on the road to lands end? I totally forgot each time we passed...

And I wasn't invited?

Soz, Waz. I was nearly un-invited myself when the missus found out there was a stripper there, but she was near the front her self laughing in the end.

I've never seen marsh mallows used like that before either

Katie wakened up at 04:20 this morning, said "LOOK! There's a shite brown Triumph Acclaim!". And promptly fell right back to sleep. Weird in itself, made stranger by the fact that she doesn't even swear :D

Managed to sew up a holed pocket by myself which only resulted in stabbing my finger a few times. Like who needs a woman anyway?
