Tell you what makes me grin, home cooking, I love it. I eat shite all week, i.e. tescos scotch eggs, crisps, cake and grapefruits, what a joy it is to come home of a weekend and cook and eat something proper. I love doing the keith floyd bit, i.e. get half cut then start manufacturing some ridiculous dish that shits up all our pans, mixing bowls, utensils etc in one go. Tonight i am making a sort of stew with neck of lamb, lemon and pearl barley, it smells fuggin ace, and I am slurping a bottle or two of 'Old speckled hen'... heaven man. Best stay away from ebay though :roll: Is that you mother? LOL WTF

With you on that one! Just about to launch myself into owl chilli (don't ask) and a blackforest tiramisu thing to use up Xmas cherry brandy. It's never successful unless you have a glass of something in one hand...Even better is when The Fuhrer rustles something up. She's as keen on cooking as Pog is on Metros, so it was a surprise for me to come back from Sheffield yesterday to find she'd made a chicken casserole. And not set fire to it.

iirc the quiller memorandum is a bit rubbish, i caught a bit of it today but quickly flicked over to ITV1 to catch the pilot film of Kojack (sic), which turned out to be a gritty little thriller based on a true story, none of the lollipop nonsense (evidentally Telly was atill a smoker at this point), I was pretty impressed. New York was a real shitheap back in the early 70s though!

 

Doesn't that episode of The Saint use an orange TVR (that popped up in a few ITC shows at the time) as the new sports car? cannae remember what they called it, but they didn't even bother to hide the TVR badge on the front as i recall!

I'd seen the Kojack film not that long ago so thought I'd give the Quiller Memorandum a go. True, it's only mediocre but worth it for thew views of '60s Berlin.

Just been having a scout around IMCDB for some interesting cars and to see if any were still around. Happened on this in the Saint section. Did you know that the Bond Aston had a previous career??!!

I've never seen that before, i'm surprised they kept the 'plate for the Bond films, iirc there were at least 3 DB5s used in the films, seems strange to use the identity of one that was already 'known' but then i suppose they didn't know how iconic it would become.

 

Now you've got me cruising the imcdb and i came across a marque i'd never heard of before, the Siam De Tella.....Argentine-made ADO9.

LOL, that's so cheesy I am struggling to believe it is real. I was expecting to see RON BURGANDY at the end. I would be well impressed if we had more news like this, imagine "look east" starting off like that. Qual.

Hell yeah. Nothing better then cobbling together something mega with the contents of the fridge/cupboards. Anything that involves alot of elaborate stirring, mixing and having 4 pots on the go at once so you are dancing about like a plate-spinner all the whilst tucking into some lubrication. I loves it.I cannot for the life of me cook oven chips though, they always come out 50% burned 50% raw.

Steak and chips (with oven chips) is about the only thing I can cook other than pizza and beans on toast. My wife is a goddess in the kitchen, but when it comes to cooking steak, I always manage to get it spot on - wish I knew what my secret is...My wife on the other hand makes beautiful food with actual ingredients. OI, AUNT BESSIE - NOOOOOOO!

Big fan of cooking. I try to home cook as often as possible - enjoy it immensely. Plus its a good excuse to crack open the vino early doors. Cook's perogative.Saying that, my mate's bar has steak night every Monday. I went last night & £7.50 got me a 16oz rump steak, chips, onion rings, peas, tomato, mushrooms & pepper sauce. Cant say fairer than that.

I'm a fan of doing a bit of cooking too. Don't get chance that often sadly but I do enjoy a good bit of cookery from time to time. Obviously with a drink in hand whilst cooking.

I'm ace at home cooking, stick a Goblin meat pudding in the microwave, serve with a slice of Happy Bread, nice one.

Buying a Honda Helix, unseen, for £35 :D

Bloody hell, what a bargain! You can't go wrong for that money and I suspect th lack of pictures, poor advert and time of year/weather have all helped your cause. Right result that, hats off to you sir.Grin factor 11 today as I discovered 195/50/15 tyres+snow=fun. The very, very slightest touch of the loud pedal saw some kwal sliding.
