My replacement Sega Saturn arrived, complete with 9 games for 16 quid. So I've been playing it all day and yes, it is as good as I remember

whatcya got ? :)

A few were duplicates but the main ones in my collection are Sega Rally (every bit as good as I remember), Daytona USA (a bit shit these days to be honest) Virtua Cop 2 (awaiting light gun ordered off ebay), fighters Megamix, Fighting Vipers, Firestorm Thunderhawk 2 (not as good as I remember), Alien Trilogy (a bit crap). Really need to get a job before I start getting the likes of Panzer Dragoon and Nights

Once I have my own house I'll have my entire console collection (all 11 of them) and will get round to organising and getting some photos up........

The Saturn conversion of Daytona USA was a shambles even for the time, it was a rush-job. There's a later version called Daytona USA CCE which is a lot better.

Spotting a Talbot Horizon caught up in the jams Southbound on the M1 this evening, looked to have a load of stuff in the boot/back seat, I was heading Northbound so couldnt snap a pic of it, same colour as this one below, anyone here? Nice to see one if only for a brief moment.

I saw a Horizon myself today in a driveway in Woodbridge, It was a orange T plate one the same as in the current McDonalds advert.

I once read that every western boys name is derived from and means John.. or something. (Possibly wrong on that score, actually).

So, if you include abbreviations and corruptions John is the most popular boys name in the U.K.

Having studied history it seems about 90% of males in the Medieval period were called John

We were also responsible for crop rotation in the 14th century becoming considerably more widespread.

Missed Armstrong & Miller on Sat evening, then missed this last night.

Are either of them repeated on BBC's many TV channels - Nope. Cheers BBC.

Got to work this morning and the gaffer has bought himself a 1980 380SL, in metallic beige / gold with MB tex.

As this is the same bloke who bought hi

self an S350 CDi last month, I'd figured he'd gone off the idea. Especially as he's already got a 94 300SL which he keeps in Spain.

Just to make my morning that bit better, I toddled off in it for a spin. 110k on it, fsh, very tidy, smooth V8, comfy and quiet with loads of play in the steering.

Rather nice, and I'm glad he took my advice and got the V8 instead of the sixpot.

Today, I are mostly bein' Bobby Ewing.

bargainous purchase

Uh Oh. I've got an Ebay stalker!

Had a good chat with the sellers husband and his work colleague (who'd had a GLS) about Rootes arrows :D Nice icing on the cake of a good Ebay transaction.

Judging by your photo Louise, it looks more like you're painting the dog!

I painted my dog once. With interior gloss. Dog Twat.

Nice one. I've just finished creosoting the cats. Thought it would be a good thing to do before the winter sets in.

I waxoiled mine. I didn't think creosote would be flexible enough.

Balls, I didn't think this through. They smell good though.

Lord Sterling - going to get a Rover back on the road?

Yes, its going to the ever-ignored G-reg that been sitting for a couple of years in my garage. I've got a gearbox ready to fit, all thats needed is money for the tax, insurance, MOT, transportation and anything else that it needs doing, also the Micra will get a bit of attention.

Also been clambering around a scrapyard today collecting up loads of bits for my rover and Micra, liberated a parcel shelf with OE speakers from a Micra and various other bits. I also wanted to liberate this plate for my wall:

From this car, sadly it had dissapeared feared fragged:

Is that a clue to your real name?

No  I just liked the style of lettering on the plate and wanted to have something to show what style I want to make my plates in. There are a few specialists who will do "display" plates.

I didn't know this until about 2 minutes ago, but the bloke who sold Christine to Arnie Cunningham was called George Lebay.

Hmm. Shitters.
