Anyway, Ive finally managed a decent week of spotting for a long time, spotted both local R5 GT Turbos and a prefacelift Scoupe today.

Tonight I went to a well shady auction house on the East Lancs Road and saw an 02 plate Alfa 156 TS with full leather and V6 alloys go for £625. My mate from work (with whom I went down with as he wants a cheap car for his lass) had to stop me from bidding rather forcibly.

 

It was great in a really dreadful way. There was tons of really rancid shit there, lots of CarShaft cast offs and lots of random one offs, such as the Mk 4 Transit pick up full of acorns, and a MINT P38 RR 4 litre that went for just under 2 and half thou.

 

Apparently there's some really slattern rammle in an auction in Burnley on the Thursday. Time to pick me up a 230K Volvo 480, chaps.

 

Then we went to a pub near DA UNIT, drank disgusting warm mild and talked in a foul manner about some of the hot items at work. The pub we went to had bloody MELAMINE TABLES FFS, like a TRANSPORT CAFE (or the Redbeck Hotel).

 

I want a bloody 156 now.

Just won a minor but very important e-battle with a bloody big outfit who tried to turn me over on line.

Bullshit was seen through, excuses and cheeky attempts to bribe and silence me were seen off, and I got what I was owed.

Seven fucking days of lies and grief for a shade under twenty quid but I got my money back so pretty damned happy.

So I was at work today and we'd run out of pens. I really like my current pen - BIC "Orange Grip" which have a nice rubber comfort grip so they don't dig into my finger when I'm writing a load of abuse out.

 

 

Stylish eh? Anyway, I went down to get a new box and they've not got any now, only the basic model "Cristal" ones.

 

 

I was pretty annoyed, but I took them anyway. Then I thought - can you dismantle the cartridge and ballpoint mechanism from the basic model and swap it into a grip casing? It turned out you can, meaning I can now have all the style and comfort of the upmarket model but with all of the economy of the basic model!

 

I was well chuffed.
