autofive Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 1971 Childrens Shite Foundation road safety film. WITH CHEGGERS! Marvellous! And not a dayglo cycle helmet in sight. seat belts in the moke seem a bit pointless
j-j Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 some great period spots in the cheggars film! when did traffic lights with 'STOP' on the red light disappear? Also some Moulton bicycles in the clip (small wheels and full suspension) As for the Grace Jones madness! I'm very familiar with it. It was part of the French ad series of Cit ads with the theme "J'aime j'aime..." this one is bad but looks cool but the BX launch ones are chronic! just really BAD and the whole driving straight into the sea - wtf? is it some sort of 'Cits don't rust any mo' ting? Still, I'd bone the bird (so long as she had the red Mk1 BX!)
Richard Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 That Cheggers film was ace. There used to be a slot on TV in the mornings called "For Schools, Colleges" when educational programmes were shown and I imagine this would have been shown then. We would all sit on the floor in the gym/dining hall with the curtains shut and watch it on the school's large screen (26" or maybe 28") TV.
warren t claim Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Not suitable for Ka and cat lovers. Ashamed to say I found this funny.
Vin Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Have been meaning to post this for a while. Not strictly shite related, as it's a video for a song - 'Mathematics' by 'Cherry Ghost'. BUT, there is shite content due to it being old cine film. At about 1.00 there is an LHD 2 door Alfa Giulietta (I think). A few seconds later it overtakes a 'Walls' lorry and a VW pick up. There is also a lot of wonderful RAF plane shite.... The song itself is also Excellent (the album 'Thirst for Romance' is COCK ON) Sudsprint 1
warren t claim Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Learn English in a Volvo 340 OMG RWD NOT AE86 Etc.... NOT suitable for work.
Station Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 John Wayne nails a Capri through Battersea (and jumps Tower Bridge) in Brannigan!
autofive Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 John Wayne nails a Capri through Battersea (and jumps Tower Bridge) in Brannigan! dont want to piss on your chips, but thats only half a car chase FULL brannigan chase http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m04wD1jkxP4 did you spot the now-semi-famous extras?
Minimad5 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Not strictly "youtube moment" material, but it makes for a good 2 minutes or so of viewing.. Or ...
autofive Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtXz4vqW-OU just added this group A RS500 topgear jobbie from 1989
Vin Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 dont want to piss on your chips, but thats only half a car chase FULL brannigan chase http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m04wD1jkxP4 did you spot the now-semi-famous extras?I had Brannigan on video. I don't have it on DVD. I've never been a fan of E-type Jags (at a push I'd have an N plate V12 hard top). I always liked that the bad guy's ride got totaled at the end, mind you at the time it was probably only worth £10. Noticed that as Marion Morrison got in the Crapi there is a 2CV on Belgian plates and a Renner 4 van on black and silvers. When did the 4 van hit UK tarmac
Vin Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I love the film 'Restless Natives'. It took ages for it to come out on DVD, and it was deleted on video, so tapes used to change hands for stupid money. Here, the 'Clown and the Wolfman' set off to hold up and rob a tourist bus for the last time...... Includes HEAVY Mk 2 Escrote content.
autofive Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CVzsLtxnqQ my scimitar revving childish i know - but i was bored
Pete-M Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This made me giggle. Helps if you've been to Newport, like.
autofive Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 M1 opens 1959 AA man's comments at the end are very funny
barrett Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 When did the 4 van hit UK tarmac Mid sixties I think, I have a '67 or '68 copy of Autocar with a full page advert of the Renault range, and the R4 van is included. That's back when they had the small grille, I'd bet my bollocks that none of those survive!
Vin Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Lots of 60s & 70s car doors being shut in time to some music. Cleverly done, but BIZARRE.
Guest Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 This made me giggle. Helps if you've been to Newport, like.Superb.
Louise2cv Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Well that's the nominations for The Autoshite MTV awards sorted then. No point anyone else entering.
Formula Autos Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 The Amber Gambler. Don't remember it? You will once you've seen it.
HillmanImp Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 The guy with the fire extinguisher in this vid seems to own a Chrysler Alpine. http://vimeo.com/13639493
Formula Autos Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Dempsey & Makepeace - premium '80s televisual shite. Best from 2:55 in. A battered Camaro, police SD1s, an Escort Mk II van, and loads of spotting oppportunities due to the '80s London streetscape. Perfect.
Formula Autos Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 WARNING: A Marina dies in this clip. Jon Pertwee as Doctor Who, Invasion of the Dinosaurs - 1973 IIRC.
Formula Autos Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 The slickest 2:46 of television ever? The Persuaders, 1971. Sudsprint 1
warren t claim Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 The slickest 2:46 of television ever? The Persuaders, 1971.I can't believe I have never seen that before!
Formula Autos Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYy6WjI4og8 The New Avengers - plenty of Paris '70s streetscape spotting in this one, and a lovely maroon Audi 100. Enjoy.
