pandamonium Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 As per my other post, this is to raise funds for my father in law's funeral, as he died suddenly on Thursday without a penny. 1999 Peugeot 206 1.4 Mot September 2018 145,000 miles. Engine management light on (Now off) and a little stumble every now and then. Feels typically French and crappy. Tow bar and trailer included. (is that the best way to do this?) Edit: £5.00 a ticket for car and trailer. £3.50 for just car. £1.75 for just trailer. pandamonium Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 £8 is easier Yes, but every penny counts and I need 500 really.
purplebargeken Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Yep, trailers go for decent amounts. Fair do's at £8.50 though.
BorniteIdentity Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I would say that trailer is £150 all day. I bought an Erde 142 for £220 last year and that felt like value.
The Moog Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Might be interested in straight sale for pug. Just need to check with Moog in law as she is after a car. pandamonium and Cavcraft 2
ruffgeezer Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I'm not an expert but you might need to go through probate first before selling assets?
beko1987 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Nah, the guy sold it before he sadly passed... Just squiggle the v5, worked for me and Kiltox's old gooner which didn't have the v5 in his name BorniteIdentity and Christine 2
pandamonium Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 I'm not an expert but you might need to go through probate first before selling assets? Only really where there is a lot of money or property involved. The funeral costs are covered by the assets when someone dies with no will and no money. He had no funeral plan and his pensions were annuity, so there is nothing to receive from them. So his 'estate' is almost non-existent. A typical funeral costs 4 grand, and we are unlikely to break 1200 quid from the things he owned. You only need to do all the legal stuff if there is dispute, which in this case, there isn't. Both of his children are working together to sort the details out. SiC, eddyramrod and holbeck 3
DodgeRover Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 It's not the right time but to my knowledge when anybody dies you have to go through the probate process even if they have a will and family all agree. The only time it doesn't apply is husband to wife and vice versa
For Fiats Sake Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Firstly, sorry for your loss. I'd buy a ticket for £8.50 for just the car, how about roffling the trailer by itself it you don't fancy gumtree? I'd be more interested in winning that than the car. Best wishes.
BeEP Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 It's not the right time but to my knowledge when anybody dies you have to go through the probate process even if they have a will and family all agree. The only time it doesn't apply is husband to wife and vice versa Probate generallly not needed if assets less than £15000 even if there is no will (can depend on which financial institutions the money is invested with though). When my mother died (with no will and assets well below £15000, although enough to cover the funeral costs at least) my brother and I had no problem sorting things out without probate. DodgeRover 1
djoptix Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Count me in for a roffle ticket. (with or without trailer, and £8.50 is fine by me) pandamonium 1
fraser.innes.3 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 2 randoms for the cause please. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk pandamonium 1

sporty-shite Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Stick me on for a random, please, just to help your family. God knows what I'll do if I win the thing!! pandamonium 1
Rave Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Sorry for your loss. I'll have two randoms, as my 106 has a tow bar...and I'm sure wiring in the plugs for the lights won't cause any electrical issues on a 22 year old french car*. pandamonium 1
3VOM Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I echo the sell the trailer separately. I will buy at least one ticket.
pandamonium Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 How about I do a double-draw roffle. 2 roffles side by side, as follows: 6.50 = car2.50 = trailer8.50 = both. It won't be drawn until all tickets sold, so basically if you buy a ticket for one, you essentially share the number with someone else. Make sense? It does to me.
ruffgeezer Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 And if you buy for both, you have the same number in each? pandamonium 1
pandamonium Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 And if you buy for both, you have the same number in each? Yep. One draw, 2 x 1-59
ruffgeezer Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I should have enough in PayPal for the double. 19 please if it's not taken. pandamonium 1
pandamonium Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 List updated. Roll up, roll up! Rave 1
The Moog Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Will have 4 tickets for car alone please pandamonium and Mat.T 2
djoptix Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I'll go crazy and up mine to two full fat tickets please. 17 and 44 if still available.
pandamonium Posted January 1, 2018 Author Posted January 1, 2018 Is there any chance someone could take charge of the list on this for me? I'm back at work tomorrow, and as well as all that, will be travelling back and forth to Kent loads, so have a lot on my plate...
ruffgeezer Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 As this is a good cause, and to encourage you lot into bad behaviour, I'll chuck in an Autoshite dealer sticker for anyone whose number comes in the draw that doesn't win. djoptix and robinmasters 2
taxi paul Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I shall have a random has well please. Can't help with lists cos I am thick.
djoptix Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I don't mind managing the list. I'll do it in a google sheet, that way I'll have all the revisions in case I cock something up. This is how I think it stands at the moment. Click on it to embiggen. taxi paul, I've transferred my original number (26) to you as your random. Hope you win.3VOM and For Fiats Sake, I didn't want to take your expressions of interest as commitment, so please post if you want to get involved aldo135 1
djoptix Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Bump, have rearranged the table so it's easier to fit on the screen...
