V5 says it's a 330 lwb.

It's rwd, GR9 for driftn M9.

Sailed* through its mot a couple or three weeks ago.

Didn't need much really. A couple of small plates on the chassis rails and back brakes fettling.

Tester was well impressed with the lack of rot underneath.

Look at those steps!

Tyres are about 100 miles old including winters on the back.

It has been a reliable old bus with a certain pikey charm.

Have you spoken to Drum's part-exchange centre?

The part exchange centre is currently looking for a small petrol powered small car for new driver, a 4wd and anything else that isn't a broken ldv.

The van is now on gumtree so I'm waiting on the first text message offering a broken Nokia.

I have a 17 plate Dacia Duster according to DVLA but it’s red and has LDV badges on - any good?

I have something else which isn't a broken LDV but is in fact a broken Volvo 360 GLT if you're interested?

It needs a fuel pump which I have but can't really be bothered getting soaked in petrol trying to fit at the moment, also it's cold outside...

Posiblemente, posiblemente.

Working and with a fresh mot it would be a definitivamente.

There has been a message from a new forum member and possible fly 'n' buy.

I'm sure the van will have been sold by the time I get around to fixing the Volvo but the opportunity to fix it might arise tomorrow. Mot isn't out until January so I wasn't planning on putting it in until then but if I get it sorted soon I could always put it in and see what it needs.

I'm possibly moving house shortly so a van would be incredibly handy for the move.

I'm not holding my breath for a sale because I'm too far away and it's an old van.

It's great for house removals.

Good news. A loose bullet fuse on the inner wing was causing the pump to work intermittently but it now appears to be running fine.

I could always take a run up in it today. c6109d3c5bfdce424aaba2f14383d7a2.jpg

Is that amount of rust considered "good" for a Transit then?

Yes that's minimal compared to most of that model that I've seen,

We need to get these heaps together so we can assess each other's wares.

The joys of gumtree.

Phone call tonight.. is the van still available?

Me - yes

Caller - what's your best price?

Me - £900

Caller - I only have 800.

Me - I'm looking for a bit more.

Caller - make it 8 and I'll come for it tonight.

Me - (sigh)ok. Where are you coming from?

Caller - Aberdeen. Text me your address.

Me - ok, that's about an hour away.

Caller - Leaving now, see you in an hour.

The van is still full of crap so I spend a frantic 45 minutes in a blizzard emptying it.

Half an hour later a text comes through...'is it pulling well?'

Me - yes pulls well, the engine is good. Have you left yet?

Him - just waiting on my brother. Will leave in 10 minutes.

An hour later i text him to see how he's getting on.

He replies ' we left 10 minutes ago'

An hour passes.

I have to send the wife out in heavy snow to pick up daughter while I wait on transit buyer*.

Another hour passes.

I try phoning him.

Surprise surprise! Total radio silence.

Tosser.

What a wazoc, sadly par for the course.

Dont forget to mention the 4329 people who will ask you "Is this still available" and then never hear from them again even although you have replied to them saying that it is still for sale.

I've found a way to annoy these bellends on Facebook and Shpock. Just reply 'yes, still for sale' then delete comment and repeat it every few hours for days on end, so they keep getting notifications. Don't forget to put their name in the reply if using Facebook, so when they inevitably get pissed off and remove their comment, you can remember to block the fuckers or harass them in the same way back when they sell something.

Ha thats brilliant, just troll them until their bottle crashes and they retract their daft comment.

Sometimes I think people just ask if an item is still for sale because they are bired and have no intention of following things up.

Well after a series of "wots ur best price m8"s and some derisory offers "475 collect tonite" and two no shows, someone actually turned up today and took this away.

Young couple, he is a carpet fitter and needs a longer van to get the carpets in. I took pity and let him have it for 700. Hopefully it will serve him well.

Now I've got a hankering for that Mazda...
