Can one of our esteemed journalistic types (wobbler, acetone_conglomoration etc) get something from the DVLA as to whether they're bothered about this? I don't know if Joe Public phoning up would get any answers but surely there's some sort of interest to the classic car crew if they're making ringing that much easier.

 

What I'm thinking is, there is a website where you can dob in untaxed vehicles. Is there a similar scheme if a member of the public sees something like this? Can we phone them and expect to get any interest?

As Datsuncog says, the V5 should stay with the vehicle as it's the property of the DVLA so it's not like there's nothing iffy going off to start with.

They got back within a few hours saying they’ll pass it on to the scumbag department. No idea if they hunt down vin ebayers though.
