The day starts! I've dropped the kids off at school, and taken eva to school. Time for a shower now...

I really must start thinking about packing soon. Maybe.

450 miles to go.

Last bit of work planned for this morning done, is it 12 so I can leave yet?

I've even reset my trip computer for the first time since I got the car. Currently sitting on 22.8mpg for my drive to work with less traffic than normal...

I'm at Blair Drummond Safari Park on a 4 bus job, in a Leyland Tiger 72-seater and it's already 18 degrees.

Oh aye, and a monkey pissed on my cab window.

A changed work deadline now means there's absolutely no chance I'll be able to make it this year :-(

Look forward to seeing your pics, unless M'coli drops his drawers again...

Just shutting my PC down, see you lot tomorrow.

Regrettably I am going to pull out of this. I haven't been well since Tuesday and can't rely on being fit enough to drive up there without problems. I need to meet up with Beko at some point so I will PM him and Ghosty to try to make arrangements.

26 degrees and bright sunshine here! 8) Bit warm for changing tyres, 3 done 1 to go. For a friends Merc, I have been promising to do them for 2 weeks, and he goes to Australia Saturday so I need to pull my finger out....

Packing the car and changing the alternator belt. Almost ready to go, just waiting on Beko to get to Manchester and we'll be off.

Saab, I think.  The GSX1400 would probably do less...  :D

Still at work. Waiting for the 4:30 end of day. Then cycle home, get changed, pack car (stuff in piles about house). Get in car, faint at smell of car interior, wonder where the air freshener is, drive north, get stuck in traffic on the M6, remember that I should have bought petrol before getting on the motorway. Get to Glasgow, collapse.

My day is planned.

Warmer than here then.  Just 19 degrees at the moment.

I'm wondering whether to leave home at 2am (I prolly won't sleep anyway) just to make progress and arrive at Tebay for breakfast.  Website says the kitchen opens at 7.15am.

You seem to have forgotten the BEST cartoon evah, the fucking Shoe People.

And avoid the A66 when Appleby Horse Fair is on. What's my route tomorrow afternoon going to be? A1-A66-M6...

I realised a few weeks ago that it wasn't going to happen so have stayed away from the thread. Instead I will work hard to finish the Visa this weekend (weather permitting) to ensure it's not a weekend wasted.

In the 60s my uncle was in front of us in a mk2 cortina and the little shits pulled most of the rubber out holding the back window in before he though fuck it and got out, they had the wiper arms off ours

I'm not sure I'm going to make this, my list of usable/working cars is dwindling so I might need to get the finger out and fix some stuff, the brakes are still dragging on the diesel 305 after replacing the calipers and the w123 Mercedes has developed a misfire so that needs looking into.

Also my proton is landing today and I'm needing to get the c15 ready for an mot.

Anyone is welcome to stop by when passing, I'm in Crossgates/Cowdenbeath.
