A CAVALCADE of 100 vintage and classic vehicles will journey through the countryside and villages of Wirral this Sunday, finishing at Port Sunlight Village Festival.

The Wirral Historic Vehicle Rally is one of Wirral's most popular vintage & classic car gatherings.

The cars will be split into six different classes, with a prize for each class winner and a seperate prize for ‘Best in Show’.

Judging is on a ‘pride of ownership’ basis and entrants are encouraged to wear period attire appropriate to the age of their vehicle and to display information about their entry at the stops that will be of interest to the public.

This year the morning run will leave Thornton Hall Hotel at 10.15am travelling to the Carr Farm for a lunch break and static display from 11.15am.

The afternoon run will start at 1.15pm and arrive at Port Sunlight around 2.10pm for a second display, with prizes awarded by Mayor of the Wirral, Councillor Alan Jennings.

I might enter the pug for a laugh. I still have a Global Hypercolour T Shirt I could wear as period attire.

Bloody hell, a cavalcade of vehicles. Not just that, but uppercase too! These boys mean business.

You don't mess with Wirral Borough Council Mr Hirst!

I think I might replace my Autosite sticker with an Oakley Thermonuclear one just for the occasion.

Anyone going to The German Show at Beaulieu this weekend? (It's for, like German cars right, not where you can show off some bird called Helga or see some bratwurst. At least I hope its not...)

This Sunday is THE shite show of the year, the BMC/BL show at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough. I'm hopefully going. How about a good ol' Shiter's knees up?

This type of thing is so poorly advertised on the Wirral that I even forgot I posted that link/ad up, they should test nuclear weapons here, nobody would know. I'd expect it was some dull exhibition with old boys in their MGs/Morgans.

Don't think thats strictly legal, but you can always tell them you are meeting someone there for a test drive or other 'trade related' action.

Cumbria Classic Show at Dalemain country house, just off J40 (the Penrith junction) of the M6. Just follow the signs for West Cumbria/Workington for a mile or so, and it'll be signed at the next roundabout.

Always a good show (they're not too precious about what's a classic, so interesting shite tends to end up on the showfield), and for once, it's not raining. Well, at least it isn't outside my window, and I'm not too far away.

Open 11 'til 4.Edit: Today (Sunday)
