So failed MOT on both track rod ends. Halfords want £280 to fix it.

 

Will get these changed and then remot it.

Halfords annoyed me as they told me I didn't have an MOT - I think to scare me into the work. The old manager was sound but this new one doesn't seem the same way.

 

They didn't know that your old MOT stays valid although the vehicle may still be considered un roadworthy. Googled it and still argued with me - so head office has been sent a complaint. It's a shame as they were handy and up to now played with straight bat.

Track rod ends will be fitted tomorrow. Then it should be all good for a new MOT.

As an aside Halfords are giving me a free MOT voucher as an apology and the area manager will be ensuring the staff are trained.
