Must be rare Renault week or something. 16TX anybody?

Yes I'd LOVE another R16TX?

This one?

Which has a fooked engine and requires a complete respray?

And then have to pay for the spares?

And pay a grand for it?

No - I'd rather look for a real one on Leboncoin annd then walk over to France-naked-in this weather-to buy it.

Sorry - 16s are rare and worth a bit in decent condition - as are the parts. I know, I've quite a bit of R16 experience. All of which tells me that a grand for this shit heap is taking the piss. Mildly amusing registration though :D

Wow. There really is a lot of cool stuff on there at the moment. The Alfas and Pugs doing it for me at the minute. I'm going to look for something Japanese. If the house purchase I'd been trying to sort out had gone through I am pretty sure something new would have ended up on it's drive or in the garage with all this stuff about..

A couple of new autoshite based companys for 2010.

Autoshite recovery at your service!

We dont know what work it needs for MOT?

Seeing as the place selling it is 'Egham MOT Centre', something seems a little suspect.

..Obviously they've called it a 'ROBIN RELIANT' in the spiel, an AS favourite.

If your after a piece of J-Tin Gompo then how about this 100A?.

That looks FUNKADELIC on them minilites. I could get my groove on for that, baby.

Oh yes. I've had both pez & dizzle flavour ones. The diesel was horrific!

I dont think I'd fit in it!

To be honest I was just meaning to post in this thread for the time being, as there hasnt been too much posted in here today.

..Maybe later this year for a second car.

Right, I didn't think they were the same size. I knew the two and a quarter was an oil burner.

Landy engines started as a 1.6 petrol, then a 2-litre petrol and dizzle. Had to wait a bit for the 2286cc in both, which eventually ended up as 2.5s in the 90/110 (though I think the smaller engine was available for a short time even in those!)

The reason i ask is I wondered if this had been erm, accidentally mis registered as petrol as it's inside the M25. Get me drift?

Posted

Not really, as the LEZ wouldn't apply to a land rover, surely??

Posted

Hmm, that sounds spectacularly meddlesome. Presumably 'cars' will not be subject to the same regs? Bolt on some glazed side panels.... "car". This is very similar to the argument I had with the council about taking stuff to the tip. When I had my landies, technically I could not take domestic waste their in an open-backed pick up, or a 'van' body, but a glazed land rover would be OK, as that's a car. Regardless of the fact that you could change from one to another pretty quickly. Didn't really matter as there are several men at the tip who are old car freaks too...

It all depends on what's on the V5, if it's got an unladen weight, it's a commercial vehicle. And any commercial under 3.5 tons (ie not car derived) will be sucked into the LEZ in 2012, if it's a diesel. Much the same as your tip, TFL in their infinite wisdom decided that transits reg'd before 2003 will not comply, yet LDVs with the same engine reg'd after 2003 will.

No, he put the 2010 bit of it on hold, it's rearing it's ugly head again in 2012.

From the TFL website. I reckon landies are going to be the worst hit. People think of them as cars, yet many of them are commercial vehicles.

To be honest they're not too bad if your john wayne is big leggy. I'm 6'2", sagging seats help increase the headroom and theres enough space for my clown feet. Also, the owner has kindly replaced the original steering wheel for something that won't cut off your circulation in your legs everytime you brake or use the clutch.

They did build those, in Australia. Called the Tasmin, It has the 2200 engine that later went in the Princess.
