Some people have a real downer about Rovers. -10 and overheating? Sounds like the coolant might been past its best, frozen up and clogged up the system, not exactly a design flaw.

Indeed. Sure, K series lumps eat gaskets more often than I eat Walkers crisps but T series lumps are pretty good.I do wonder sometimes how many people blame the engine for the HGF when infact the coolant hadn't been changed in around a decade.

Exactly. I've had a lot of K Series engined cars and have never had HGF. Because I look after them. Changing the coolant isn't rocket science, and the proper OAT stuff isn't dear either.

My friend paid £800 for a 1992 Rover 414SLi in the late 1990s. It's approaching 400k now and it still hasn't had a head gasket fail.

Wow that's ace! Only in Cleckheaton too, bet it'll go well out of my reach though.

SHITTING NORA that CARINA is literally the cock AND balls!

I have never seen one with that 'face' before, it is mega-fugly like they hashed it together out of bits of telly fascias.

I have only seen the later 0MG MR_B spec, thus:

Is this even the same model?

Hey look at that, all three of the cheesy newspaper signatures together at last! Nice one lads.

These are the sort of papers that Cyril Fletcher used to read quotes off in Thats Life!

That thing is about 2-3 miles from me, tops.If he's the chap who's got the K reg 1.8 in dark blue as well, he's a mega-dodgy driver who's still not got the hang of Marinas not having brakes. Not seen that one around.

Is that FUCKNUGGET still banging on about the SIPS system in his Marina? He's removed the invisible roll cage this time though. Summary: WAQNER

Er....Doovla says she's a legal eagle...The vehicle details for ACA 617L are: Date of Liability 01 08 2010 Date of First Registration 01 10 1972 Year of Manufacture 1972 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1275CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour GREEN So how does that work then? :?

Here's a stupendously TOSS way to advertise your vehicle:

GR2 work! Pic of a model, pretty much zero useful information regarding the car itself, apart from spurious claims to it's "finished" value.

Summary: MONG

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?

Posted

If a pink Micra can get bid up to twice what I paid for mine then I see a trip to B&Q coming up in the near future.

Posted

I don't know why women need to announce their XX chromosome by owning loads of pink stuff.

Piazza Automatic, so no LSD, so it is relatively safe. Nice one!

Posted

That's nice! Should go pretty cheap without the key. Wonder how much it'd cost to just go to VW and ask for another? I would have thought they'd still do them.

Really?!A 1.8 with dents, faded paint, wanky steering wheel and 200k on the clock and a painted rocker cover? You supprise me Pog!

Posted

Dents, meh, easily removed. Paint, bzzzzzz mop mop polish and the fading is gone.Wanky steering wheel, nay bother, I have a spare M-tech 1 wheel under the stairs. Mileage, not much of a bother either, if it's been looked after, I car not. TBH, it isn't the best one of ever, it's nowhere near as good as my old one, but to get that good is now SERIOUS coin. And I'd want an LSD. That 1.8 is a wonderful engine though, same as in my E36.
