Nice job that. I was looking at the sticker on the tailgate and thinking FFS have that way and polish it.........then you did, from mingin to blingin

I have one on my 190 too, as the first owner was stationed in West Germany. It’s part of the Car’s story, but I’m not a big fan. So it’ll probably go too, having practiced on the Audi.

Noticed this on Facebook earlier so can I be the first to say “£100 cash and broken xbawks today m8”

I’ve grumbled about it before, but cars don’t sell on here unless they are an absolute giveaway. Fair enough, but just can’t afford to do that with so much initial outlay.

Not what you want to hear, but I really struggled to sell my 80 last year.

This looks to now be sold outside of the AS fold.  Will update tonight.  Thanks for your kind words, it's a nice car and seeing it come from the state it was in on pg1 to the state it is on pg6 has been satisfying AF.

Crazy thing is Ive sold 2 cars through here in the last 12 months, both I thought theres no point listing here and both of them sold for practically the asking price.

I think sometimes its just luck of the draw and maybe I just lucked out posting them when somebody was in the market for that particular car?

Maybe you just know a good thing when you see one.

Lets hope so.

Sad face, but pictures of the queen are worth a thousand northerners looking at train timetables.

Just saw this on Facebook; I R much disappoints to discover Bornidentity spent actually look like Tony Mason.

Lovely car though, and quit right to sell it elsewhere; I wouldn't pay £800 for it-it's with every penny, but I'm a tightwad.

Ha. No, not the actual Tony Mason. Shame really. WHAT a man.

Anyway, young army lad messaged me on FB this morning asking if he could test drive it tonight with a view to buying it. I said yes. He booked a train and arrived at 1721. He drove it 8 miles back to my house, confirmed he could fit his worldly belongings into the back so transferred the money into my bonk account.

He’s driving back to Germany with it on Thursday, and currently heading back to Kent now.

 my bonk account.

Oooo, can I get a bonk account too.

Running a bit short of bonks at the moment.

Well done with the sale.

You will have to wait until the next bonk holiday (!)

I've been on a bonk holiday since dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Possibly longer.

I hope you told him about this place. He sounds like he'd fit in!

Quite a straightforward fix and sell this time, well done. Anything else in the pipeline?

I’d like something without a roof for the summer, and to recommision my trusty Avensis which is laid up for the first time in 19 years and 220k

How about a nice C70 T5 auto?

Then when you're done with it, you can pass it on to me.

What? More fleet expansion?

I've got to get a big angle grinder anyway.......so how about killing two birds with one stone and decapitating that old Toyota?

It'll need to live outside, so if you can put a load of clips on so we can reattach the roof when I get home each night - that'd be great.

Kthanxbai.

Good result. I love 80s. Partly because they're bloody good and partly cos for years they've been a bargain.
