Oh, and it's a 1.4, 'Vegas' special edition.

Vegas. Likely to bankrupt you or give you chlamydia.

Get stuck in!

Can you pop a wheel off to make an impromptu roulette wheel? Or play a game of craps in the footwell?

It's an unfashionable view but I've got to agree.

We've had 2 Corsa Bs in the family and both were very reliable, low-effort (if thoroughly dull) transport.

The 1.4 petrol was reversed into an obstacle, scratching & denting several panels. We ignored all the damage and it never rusted significantly despite loads of exposed metal. Several years later and close to death, it ran for many weeks with the temperature gauge stuck to the top of the red zone, and finally ran for far longer than anyone could ever ask without coolant. Everything always worked and no MOT ever cost much.

The 1.7 diesel was top-spec and full of electric toys, all of which still worked after 15 years of almost total neglect. Extraordinarily slow and with diabolically bad handling, but supremely dependable. Regret leaving the world of shite by selling it.

Can I be the first to call you a bollock brained, biscuit eating, faux northernm bastardy, bollocky, wank brain?

Three spokes and a proper 4 pot with a cam belt rather than an ecotec.

Your one of life's winners.

My friend recently scrapped a GLS one with 40 odd thousand on the clock which was on a L plate which I thought was bloody criminal as it was such a lovely little thing to drive and apart from servicing never had a penny spent on it..

I preferred driving it to my brothers 2006 corsa which has cost a fortune in repairs in the past.

Does yours come with the optional door frame bend.

No but you can lose an awful lot of money in the spring hangers. Check these aren't rotten. Once these have gone it's had it. Similar the chassis legs or the B posts on the 3 door cracking.

Also discount the 1.7 diesel it's absolutely awful, access on some stuff is a pig as well.

My first car after passing my test was an x plate corsa B. (not including the Metro or the orion that blew up on the way home). Envoy trim so bare bones trim level and the 3 pot lump. Was a great little motor. Sadly scrapped when the rear arm twisted with corrosion. The wife also had an x plated envoy in blue which had some options ticked. That had power steering, central locking and a factory fitted cassette deck in dash with multichanger in glove box. I think they are the best looking corsa to date. Didn't like them much but they have aged well. I also test drove a corsa ls 1.4 hi torq auto a year or so back. Wouldn't pull a dogs foreskin back. Horrible thing

I still have a four clock corsa B instrument panel with the luxury of a rev counter. Taking from a 94ish corsa. Any interest to you?

I had a great little 1.4 'hi-torq'. As other has said about theirs it never needed much spent on it. I had to change a wheel bearing after all the grease got washed out after driving though a flood but that was about it.

Nowt wrong with the Isuzu dizzler provided you have earplugs, but you've got a point about access; starter motor is an arse, alternator not much better and the oil filter was positioned by a sadist.

I remember thinking (at the age of 5) when they came out that they heralded the coming of all that was wrong with car styling, and I stand by that, but at the same time they have aged well somehow
