Long time on/off lurker here - thought it was about time I said:

i) Hello.

ii) Loving the humour, attitudes and general AS stories round here.

iii) Currently fancying something BEIGE and shite, have a soft spot for exceedingly crap BL tin but open minded and will swing other ways (subject to what Mrs S will allow on the drive).

 

The only sheds I have at the moment are two-wheelers, which are ace.

 

1985 Honda CB400N Superdream (new toy, sounds much like an old Brit twin, with the benefit of staying in one piece when taken over 7000rpm).

 

1980 Suzuki GT250 X7 (worth x3 above because whizzbang ring-a-ding 2-stroke).

 

Spoze I have a reasonable history of shitemobiles (though most weren't really old enough to be PureShite when I owned them).

50% share in sheddy bay window VW camper

1984 Escort Cabriolet 1.6 - White (steels, non-injection)

1989 Skoda 120L - BEIGE (bought in part to test then GF's resilience)

1983 Golf GTI - Black (Mk1 1.8, sold to pay tax bill due to beer-induced skintness)

1983 Sierra 2.0 Ghia - JRG

1986 Golf 1.8GL - Bronze

1978 Allegro 1.3 Super - Pageant Blue

1986 Escort 1.6 Ghia - Red

1980 Mini 850 - Yellow

1994 Mini Sprite 1.3

50% share in sheddy 1987 XJ40 3.6 - Grey - 'The Mitchell' (as in Grant)

1999 MX5 1.8 - Green

2005 Suzuki Alto - Silver

1996 BMW 328i - Montreal Blue

Yeah - that's one I'd like back now, and the SKOD, and the All-agro.

 

The Clubman got fitted with a huge Webasto sunroof that we removed from a Rover P6 in a scrap yard, but was later crunched when my sister went straight on at a corner in the snow. She was fine, but I think SHR253S got scrapped.

 

Thank you for your kind offers for X7, but it's a keeper - they don't make 'em like that any more. It's got a powerband that hasn't snapped yet.

Very similar Mini history

 

1980 850 in Russet (poo) brown. It was the SDL not the City because of my lavish taste

1979 1000 in Sandglow

1993 Sprite, a red one deported from Margate to Sweden

 

but...I also had/have

 

1983 Mayfair. It had the 1000 A+ engine from the Metro and, even by 'cooking' Mini standards wouldn't pull the dick off a chocolate mouse. But it had headrests

1970 1000 in Yellow Gold, also in Sweden

 

But I've never had an Allegro in pageant blue or any other colour so I cant claim any victory here
