Can't say I've ever had any problems with TripleQX stuff.. but then my old crap is hardly modern.

 

GSF gets my custom nowadays, with the weekend 50% off codes, natch.

That is expensive, the oil light came on in the Zafira last Thursday so I reserved 5l Castrol finest triple bollocks qx and with a 30% code amy paid £15. Was cheaper/the same price as the valvolene stuff too

 

Also much cheaper than Morrisons where she went first who wanted £12.99 for 2l,suddenly she phoned me up and asked where ecp was, not 5 minutes earlier she wasn't going there, she didn't need 5l etc etc, dick...

I've used it many a times in pretty much every heap I've owned and its been fine. That or valvolene, depending which is 25p cheaper than the other when I need to order it. My last zx died with a sump full of it and the engine was the best bit of the whole car I think

That comment above about 20L cans, way to go, fraction of the price.  If you're worried about the quality, change a bit more often or when it pongs a bit.

I only buy Halfords fully syth 5/30 when it's on offer at 4 litres for £11, well £8 after staff discount from a mate and 10/40 semi synth from vauxhall trade at around £28 for 20 litres.

Did an oil change on the daily last week which only resulted in a level 2 environmental disaster this time (I hadn't spilled a drop up until removing the filter, then it slipped out of my hand and fell in the drainer splashing oil everywhere - arse)

 

Anyway the oil was from my local Ford main dealer, Ford used to have their own brand 5/30 stuff which was £20 for 5 litres - already good value I felt, they appear to have discontinued this and now stock Fuchs, which is just £13.99 for 5 litres!

 

Amazing value and you get to say "can I have 5 litres of fucks please" - if you're really lucky they'll have none left and reply "sorry sir we are all out of fucks"
