He's in the Midlands. Well, he's actually on a ferry to France at the moment I think.

He's three floors below me in Malmø right now!

Got a viewing on this tomorrow, hoping it results in a sale.  If not, then that's this bumped to the top for anyone who might still be interested in acquiring this fine motor vehicle.

I'd love it, I was recently looking at them on Leboncoin and other Renault's of that period however I have just lumbered myself with a mark 3 Fiesta. Its typical as this six and a nice looking mark one five have just turned up for sale now that I have stopped looking, a month ago I would have been in a position to go for it!

I hope you sell it tomorrow. However if by some miracle its still there in a month I might be in a position to act.

Now sold and heading off with a very excited new owner.

A worry off your head, plus an increase in cash flow, I'd call that a result

Nice one. I can see my garage-bound "resto project" going the same way due to fading enthusiasm and growing toddler. Great that someone else is in a position to take up the challenge !

That does make me feel a bit sad.

I do need to do the same with my Triumph though. A good example to follow.

I'mglad. I feared for this car with your lost enthusiasm and worried it'd take ages for you to find a buyer. Very pleased that not only did you find a buyer swiftly, but it appears to be a good one too!

If it weren't for the engine woe I would have seen it through to the end, I just lost all confidence in my ability to sort it out.

The chap who bought it is one of the mechanics who works with Paul Cowland on Turbo Pickers.

The only interested buyer of note was the guy who wanted to come from Ireland to collect the car but only if I knocked £200 off the asking price so he could do the bodywork it needed.  Which... what?  If you want to paint it that's your concern mate, I'm not letting someone knock a third off the price just because they want a pretty car.  Glad I sat back and didn't stress about the sale really, luckily I sold it at a point when the right buyer was looking.  I was expecting a much, much harder job of it so I feel quite lucky that it was so painless.
