I can do weather forecasts - just not able to ensure that we are all happy campers/car sleepers

 

Beko - people have previously mentioned being able to do that so I think as long as you are subtle it should be fine.

I shall buy the cheapest, shittiest tent I can find. As long as I'm not the only one ultimately sleeping in a car I'll be happy! Although if they try to kick us off the campsite whilst we are drunk, can they do that? As we won't be allowed to drive... Maybe being over the limit by 4pm is the way forward?

Last year we managed a couple of low key weekends after Shitefest that worked really well.

I'd be interested in this too dates permitting for a day visit + airbnb like I'd planned to do last year. 100 miles closer round trip than the bubble place.

Seems to be for now. At some point, I would like to arrange another Welsh meet. Do it proper roadtrip style - start at Llangollen and trek all the way down to the Internal Fire Museum. Doubt I'll have chance before summer is over though. Maybe not even until next year.

I was wondering about a meet over there and funnily enough a trip to the Internal Fire museum. Might have to be a round trip though as I think the Hafod Hotel is under new ownership so best not to assume the same willingness to allow strange folk camping in their field. I would be willing to organise a Llangollen meet, but probably towards September time.

I echo Beko's apprehension, can't say I'm keen on the 'do it anyway' mentality. I really want to do SF now that I have a car and such...

 

Maybe a location vote is in order? A lot of people seem to be more positive about Wales.

No disrespect Ghosty there's been enough votes and what not over dates that it's getting to the point I'm about to delete the whole lot out of my calendar and forget about it, without yet another vote.

 

We haven't really had this chew in previous years so a date and location just needs to be decided so people can make plans. Location is everything for some people (not me I might add) and some people already on the list might not favour Wales and decided attendance on the bubble car museum and it just gets messy then.

Agreed, let's stick with what has been already decided and JFDI. I really can't see anyone counting the tents after dark to see if there is the right sort of quantity for the number of people. I've got a gazebo too which can probably sleep at least 10, so anyone without a tent is welcome to claim they're making use of.
