My eyes still wish it hadn't.

Good motors those Series Minxes, especially the later ones like that one with the 1592 engine - buzz along at 70 quite happily.  That one doesn't look like it's past de-monging.

That's nice. As i'm sad here is the build data for it.

Where did you get that data?

It's the that was on the eBay thread a bit back. He'd fitted a sun visor and removed all the wiring from the dash to do so, or something like that.

Interesting that the build data calls it a ZT 160. I had no idea such a beast existed. I thought all were 190, 15 up on the boggo KV6's 175.

I thought 160 was the stuff of Zed esses.

How hard is it to do a clutch slave? Can I do it with an Phillips screwdriver and a claw hammer?

I don't want to go all Bob Geldoff here, but I've had a pretty good offer from a scrapyard for this. I'd really rather not though.

:-( I award cavcraft 2 warning points.

Depends on the car. I have a horrible feeling you need to drop the gearbox on these.

Just do it, it's not like it's a Corsa or anything.

They are worth £200 on the Owners site in tip top order with no clutch.

Clutch replacement from £400 to £1000 depending on DMF. Can be done by sliding the box off without dropping the sub frame some say.

They stick the plate to the pressure assembly with superglue.

I'll do mine when I have to, but I'm in love with it.

You pop the vin in here. http://www.mg-rover.info/get_info.htm?

The vin will start with SARR, drop the SAR and pop the rest in.

You can get the vin from the reg here.

https://www.mercedes-benzwarranty.co.uk/Login/Index

Its a Merc site but still works.

Thanks for that but i still can't get it to work, tried dropping the SAR part and it keeps saying the VIN you entered was incorrect

What year is the car from your checking? Some of the early cowley cars don't some up.

It would break for more, looks like xenons with the lamp washers.

I can't argue with that chief, cheers.

Of course it will break for more. That's why the scrappers want them.

Can't wait till they have all gone over the bridge.

Mine will be worth Millions*

Well, copulate me lengthways with a wooden prop to fend off articles on the waterways, I never knew petrol cars had DMFs.

Anyway, you know where I live Tim.

CERTIFIED KNOCKHILL TRACK WEAPON.

I certainly did not* thrash the tits off that mercilessly for a day last July. Nope. Not me, sir.

Good to see it still live on. I was seriously tempted to buy it off Moog there and then last summer. Looks 52,000% less minging in the photos as it is in person. Wait, Ken put a new interior in, didn't he? Probably much nicer now.

A most excellent evening spent talking car shite and other bollox with own very own Lord Sterling. Had a good laugh!

Missing the Alfa already.

The leather interior is about 96% fitted, the bits are in the car. Billy, there is a fully working window switch jobbie for the drivers side door in the car.
